The items are made of heavier plastic than I thought they would. I knew I was going to get one size and in the dimensions described. My only suggestion would be to offer an option for varying sizes. For example I wanted to store my celery elevated for longer freshness. I need to lay the container horizontally and use 2 grates because the grate won't fit the bottom. I would recommend buy beware of the size. If varying option were to be offered I'd buy them.

These plastic drain shelves are a nice, sturdy, 1/16" plastic with feet that hold them up well. They have worked for the different things I have put on them without bending or breaking and they do hold the product up out of the juice as long as you don't have too much juice. They are 1/2" tall, so it gives quite a decent amount of room for simple drainage. The 'short-fall' I see with these is that they are... short. The measurements provided in the description are accurate; they are indeed 10" x 4 1/4". I assumed that this was the correct measurements for my 1/3 size pans. I only currently have stainless steel 1/3 size pans, but I would think plastic ones would taper the same way. With my pans, there is about an extra inch of space - or a good 1/2" all the way around if it were centered. I would like to see this a little tighter fit if I don't want some of products falling overboard. When you scrape these shelves with your spoon to pick stuff up, they are going to scoot to the side giving that inch for stuff to fall down in.Overall, I think these are made very nice, sturdy and drain well.... but they really need to be at least 1/2", up to 3/4" bigger in each direction, in my opinion.

These false bottoms will keep your food out of any condensate that accumulates in your hotel pans and could lead to poor storage of food. They fit Winco, and probably other maker's, 1/6 hotel pans.If you are cold holding food that would be harmed by moisture, these will help prolong the food life at a reasonable price.
