Installed these on my greenhouse. In hot weather they open my vents all the way and they seem to seal the vents pretty well when it's cooler.

These hinges work as advertised. I previously purchased two hinges from Koxxud for a different window. The design of the hinges is identical, but they are made from steel, not aluminum like the Koxxud. Don't know which is preferrable. Install on a closed window. Insert and adjust the pistons afterwards. The installation requires placing a retention pin and a stop pin in each hinge. The pins don't fit properly. That's an annoyance. You may resort to using bits of wire instead.

These dont work at all. My project took longer than anticipated and I missed the return window by 3 weeks. Now I need them and they are trash, dont work at all. Waste of money.

I give it 5 stars because it works like a charm. It's currently 61F at 7 p and my greenhouse is closed up tighter than a drum. I've watched it for two days open in the morning and close at night. I love it. Now let's talk about those instructions. I spent TWO HOURS putting in the first one. I had to remove my windows and drill new holes. That was a little time consuming. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how and where that cotter key went in... I had to Google it. I only put in one in case I hated it but I'll definitely be putting in the second. Practice makes perfect. I have no doubt the second one won't take me HOURS!
