About this item

  • Versatile Size Range: The ultra-light road bike inner tube fits a range of tire sizes, including 700x18/23/25/28/32C, ensuring compatibility with various road bike tire sizes.
  • Special TPU Material: Crafted from special TPU material, these inner tubes offer excellent toughness, enhancing their resistance to punctures while remaining lightweight.
  • Multiple Valve Length Options: With a choice of 45mm, 65mm, or 85mm Presta valves, you can select the valve length that best suits your needs.
  • Inflation Caution: Avoid overinflating when not installed in the tire to prevent irreversible damage. Prior to installation, check for air leaks with a slight inflation.
  • Seamless Installation: During setup, start with 0.5PSI inflation, ensuring the inner tube adheres to the tire's inner wall. Avoid exceeding 5PSI in empty play to prevent irreparable expansion.

So I wanted to pack light for my month long tour of Cuba and bought 2 of these as they are smaller and lighter than butyl, HOWEVER a week into my trip when I needed a replacement inner tube realized that I had made a mistake. The reason they are light is because they are flimsy and cheaply made. Furthermore, the instructions include all kinds or warnings about riding on hot asphalt. Are you kidding me? I needed to ride another 1000km over 3 weeks on hot asphalt. I installed one and it held air but I spent the next 3 days searching for proper butyl inner tubes and finally found some and removed the flimsy pink plastic one and felt better. The only thing I would use these for would be as an emergency spare around town. In a pinch they can probably get you back home but I wouldn't trust them for long rides or touring.

Much lighter than butyl tubes and has lower rolling resistance. Another benefit is it takes much less space in saddle bag but be sure no sharp object pushing against it as TPU tube is quite thin.Had two TPU tubes in road bike for a full season (around 75psi with 28mm tires) and no punctures (usually only average 1-2 punctures each year) so far. They hold air as good as butyl tubes and I do check tire pressure before every ride.

I put these tubes into new Gatorskin Hardshell's last year. They hold air as well as butyl and are way lighter. The "named brand" TPU tubes are pretty expensive so I thought these might be worth a try. I am replacing the old tires after 6,000 plus miles and going to give them a new set of these tubes. They just work and I can recommend them. If you are fixing flats on you tires where you ride then I can not recommend them. No idea how you would patch them.

My only criticism of these tubes is the lack of thickness. Other than that I am very satisfied with these products.

Running these on two bikes (rim brake) with no issues. They hold air as well as the Continental tubes they replaced. Some say the ride is more harsh than a regular tube or latex - I find no noticeable difference. Installation requires more care since they easily pinch if you’re not careful mounting. Slight inflation is required when installing. Went from tubeless to these since we ride different bikes and tubeless sealant dry-out and buildup was a problem. Much less hassle.

It’s very light less than 30g. Went on a few rides around 60-70 km each, no complaints.

Installed in 25c road wheels. Install was easy on alloy Bontrager rims. Holding pressure very well. More than 200 grams saved over 3 butyl tubes (each wheel and spare). Feel on the road very similar to standard butyl tubes.

I installed these tubes on my road bike and so far I’m pleased. Their leak rate is acceptable and I save approximately 90 grams per wheel. It would be better if the valve stem was threaded.

I got a flat on my regular butyl tube while out on a long ride. I replaced it with this TPU tube and it got me back home. But the next time I went to go ride my bike the tire was flat. I tried to pump it up with no luck, there appears to be a leak at the valve-tube connection which is unpatchable. I could try to put some hot glue around it but I would be skeptical of it's air tightness. Sucks because it only had 50 miles in it. Hopefully the other one lasts longer.

These are nice for a time trial or race or group ride once in a while but not good enough for daily riding or training. They just do not hold air longer than 12 hours or so and after three or four rides every one developed a slow leak. I replaced my rim tape and made sure everything on the rim and tire was smooth but they still got slow leaks even though I was very careful to avoid pinch flats during installation. Michelin ultralight tubes do just fine. DO NOT USE A CO2 INFLATOR with these. The plastic valve stems will crack when cold.

I haven't ridden on these too long, so I can't speak for durability, but I'd expect it to be the same. That being said, I found installing these to be easier than standard butyl tubes because of their bright color and slippery material. With 25mm wide wheels (18mm internal) and 25mm tires they went on without any tire levers. Each wheel felt a noticeably lighter after installed, as did my spare kit, which also has more room now that the butyl tube has been replaced. I'm not going to say it made a crazy difference, but my bike feels a little more nimble and responsive now. I may be wrong here, but it seems like my bike is much quieter with these tubes installed. I've never heard anyone or read anything mention that with TPU tubes, but it was one of the first things I noticed. Edit: after a 60mi ride in the Tour de Houston, they survived the rough roads flawlessly. I had no punctures even though I had the tires aired down a little for the rain. It's hard to say, but they do seem like they roll easier than my old butyl tubes, especially when going around 20mph or faster. Strong, heavy pedal strokes seem to result in less "whoosh" noise and more towards acceleration.
