I got this weight-sinker set for my boyfriend, who loves to fish. For Christmas, he got a new tackle backpack and needed to stock up on fishing supplies. The set comes with five different-sized weights in a round holder. The smaller weights are pretty tiny and may not be used. They are said to be removable.

Nice set of fishing weights in an easy to use case. When you get different weights from the store they come in different containers. This comes in one container which makes it easier to find what you need.

Although they are lead, they come in a handy container with a good assortment of sizes. Part of the title is not all that accurate. Yes the spitshot can be removed, however, there is only two ways to do it as far as I know. One is to take a knife and attempt to pry them open (hopefully not cutting yourself) and the other is to remove the hook and slide the splitshot off the line. Without the “duckbill” on the back of the splitshot, it makes it extremely difficult and time consuming to remove and replace.I will not put these on my fishing rigs, instead they will get melted down for fishing sinkers.

The two smallest sizes are tiny. Almost too small to use them for anything. There is also no groove inside the weight to help cinch it to the line. What I like least about the item is that there is a tiny nub on each side of the opening that I assume keeps it from opening but what they do is make it really difficult to open. You have to kind of pry the lid up to turn it and it's not very easy. For the price it is a decent value.

Exactly what it promises. Lots of lead split shots. I have used hundreds of these over my lifetime and they look exactly like I would expect them to. There is good variety to make sure your line sinks down far enough to dangle your bait at the right depth. After moving the plastic panel, the spin tray was a little difficult to spin at first. However, that is how a lot of these are. Just spin it back and forth until it start wear away and becoming more useable.
