My previous cleaning system was all rusted and stuck. Was able to remove that, and was going to throw away the grill, then found this replacement kit.Installation was very easy on my Weber grill. Did have to take it apart, because I had forgotten to put on the screen/shield on my Weber on whch the ash catcher snaps onto. So had to remove it, install that device, then reinstall this. I was able to do it all by myself, but it was hard. From the inside of the grill you need to push in and there is some amount of spring to this. On the other side, you have to put on the washer, hold it there so it does not fall off, and install the rod. It would be easier to have somebody push or hold the washer. I did it by myself. Just tip the grill over on it's side, so that the washer stays in place. From there, it's easy enough to push in the rod to hold it in place.Good news - my grill is back to being fully functional. Bad news - no excuse to get a new grill. However, it's a Weber. It's been out in the weather without a grill cover in NorthEast weather for 9 years, and now it's good for another 9 years.

Good instructions. Fits perfect. Hardest part is taking off old one, I used a cut off wheel. install was quick and did it solo. refurbed my webber great. Saw many of these I just bought the cheapest, would bet they all the exact same.

Got this as a replacement for my Weber Kettle 22. It replaced the rusted and bent ones perfectly, and the fit over the vents lined right up. It was easy to assemble and replace. Took about 15 minutes to replace.
