They were slightly smaller than I was thinking but that is on me because I am not good with visualize sizes. However they are very strong and work really great. The screw down part was very easy to work without sticking when being used. They are stainless steel so no worries about them rusting or breaking anytime soon.

I use these to hold steel gables around my pavilion. I was using carabiners but when i would tighten the turn buckles, I would break the carabiners. I dont have that problem with these. Its also very nice that for 10 bucks, you get 20 of these. Great price.

The links came in a small plastic box in the correct advertised quantity. They were actually too small for what I needed them for, but that’s my fault, not anything wrong with the links. I’ll find other uses for them, and they appear to be pretty decent quality.

Perfect size for light and medium duty chains. Connecting 2 lengths, or closing a length. Smooth operating, well machined. Secured when tightening with just your fingers. If you link them all, you should get about 2' in length. Note the opening is about 3/16ths.

I bought these for an unusual purpose: to connect my dog's poop-bag holder to the leash. I'm tired of the carabiners that come with the poop bags and always break. These are sturdy, smooth and well-made. The closure mechanism slides smoothly on the threads. The fact that these come in a nice little plastic container is a plus.

I live on a farm. I have always kept an assortment of various sized Quick Links on hand to solve attachment problems whether it be a permanent attachment or something that needs to be dismantled from time to time. This 20-piece assortment appealed to me. I am always attaching chains to bells and windchimes which need to be taken down and repaired from time-to-time because of wind damage. I've also made emergency dog leashes and restraints from a length of chain which I would not have been able to attach without a Quick-Link. I have attached tools to my belt loops, made biker-type necklaces out of choker dog collars, hung LED lighting, etc. This is one of those products you purchase to have on hand when you can't run to the store and need a novel solution to make something work.

The product picture shows a sort of 0.14" threaded side. It isn't specific as to exactly what is being measured but it isn't the needed information! The flange that the nut tightens up to is just over 3/16" or just over 0.1875" on most of the ones I got. This forced me to grind some of the flange off for my small chain. (see picture) Not an easy or safe thing to do.Other than that, these are Great little links!! I have other larger chain that these work very well on!!

I definitely like that you get a bunch of them for about $.50 each. Other 1/8 chain links can run about $1 each. So for small lighter load applications these will work just fine. The reason I have a concern about how much load these can handle, is because other 1/8 links may cost maybe twice the price, but can handle about 2.5x this rated rate (174 lbs). You get a good discount, but for a significant loss in weight they can endure. I believe the reason these probably can't handle too much weight is because the rotating piece and screws down to close the gap has one end of threading be about 5/32" of threading, but the other end doesn't have as much support internally, only about 1/16". You can figure this out by opening up the gap as far as you can and then you can see how much coverage on the other side there would be. The gap is about 1/4", which is about double the space required to attach to another 1/8" thick chain. On a positive note, for light duty purposes, it will also be easier to hook on or take off.
