Item is just a petri dish, with no screw on lid. Ended up getting a refund.

Just a low quality petri dish. Top doesn't fit well. Super thin plastic

Exactly what’s needed for no pour agar. It makes it so simple to create your own plates you pour first and then you pressure cook them with the lid slightly loosened, sterilizes them safely and then you just screw the lids down snug when you take them out. The craziest part is they are cheaper than the single use Petri dishes despite being reusable, and you don’t have to fiddle with sealing them in parafilm, just screw it closed.

Withstands high temps, transparent enough for light to get in, lids can't slip off.

Sehr praktischer Ersatz für Petrischalen. Etwas zu teuer da Versand aus USA.

These PP5 bead cups work well as reusable Petri dishes. You can use them for no pour agar, and they eliminate the need for parafilm. Sturdier than condiment cups, and less plastic waste. It's an economical and eco-friendly alternative. They are slightly more opaque than regular plastic Petri dishes, and I would suggest using food color in your agar for better contrast and clarity. Overall I am very pleased with them.UPDATE: The clarity is fine without any food coloring. They're airtight and have become one of my favorites.
