How to replace a CSRU2 CSR-U2 AC Hard Start Kit:
▼ Turn off the power to the air conditioner unit. You can do this by switching off the breaker in your electrical panel or disconnecting the electrical plug
▼ Locate the hard start kit on your air conditioner unit. It is usually located near the compressor and consists of a small metal box with wires coming out of it
▼ Disconnect the wires from the old hard start kit. Make note of which wires go where so you can connect the new kit correctly. It is also a good idea to take a photo or make a diagram for reference
▼ Remove the old hard start kit from the air conditioner unit. Depending on the type of kit you have, you may need to unscrew it from the compressor or simply pull it out of a clip
▼ Install the new hard start kit in the same location as the old one. Make sure it is securely in place and connected to the compressor
▼ Connect the wires to the new hard start kit according to your notes or diagram. Double-check that they are connected to the correct terminals
▼ Turn the power back on to the air conditioner unit and test it to make sure it is working properly
