I live in a normal urban neighbor but we have all kinds of animals visiting our yards. It does not help that we have a neighbor who put food out for wild animals. First it was the rabbits eating all my potted flowers then it was the feral cats moving in, then our trees got big and we had lots of squirrels, then the raccoons decided we had great trash. I have had it with the poop and damage. I bought a similar product several years ago, but I found some racoon scat in my lawn again and thought it was time to replace that one. So far so good. It is very easy to set up. Put it in part of your yard that has good sun exposure most of the day. Turn it on and let it do its thing. Leave it year round. If you walk in front of the device the red light will turn on and that lets you know it is working. I just stood behind it and put my arms out to a 90-degree angle to see what part of my yard was covered. The range is 110 degrees so just a little bit more than 1/4 of a circle. When I first got my other devise I notices that a neighbor’s dog that use to come into my yard to visit turned around and did not come into my yard anymore. Then I realized he must be able to hear that sound that the device emits. Also, good news I don't see dog walkers stopping in my yard anymore to let their dog do their business and walk off. That is a plus too. So, the moral of this story is if you have dogs or cat of your own you cannot use this to deter other animals because it will deter your own animals too.

I had a terrible problem with animals eating the fruit from my fig tree. Since I placed this in my garden, I have not had visits from any small animals, and we are now enjoying our figs! Set up is a breeze - connect the repellent sensor to the stake, turn switch to the on position, and place the stake in the ground, done! I would definitely recommend.
