LARGE and easy to read display. Bright display, many choices and configurations. Accurate time keeping. My Mom is 93 and she tells me every week that the could not get along without this clock.

Excellent product, nice size. My dad loves it because he can see it clearly. My only complaint is that I wish it were wireless or had a rechargeable battery that could show the time if the energy fails, ( it keep it but internally, you don't have to put it in time again).

Had this clock only 47 days before it just quit working. Had to unplug and reset to get it working again. Otherwise it works well and a nice size to read from accross the room.

We really like this clock! Its display image and options are really nice! You can label the alarms, you can put a message on it; the little day/night and medicine-taking person icons and vivid colorful and clear display are great; it has a sleep mode, etc... AND the alarms is actually a pleasant, calming and cute melody that my father responds to merrily. The remote is easy and the button on the back pretty easy to. And it was about $30 cheaper or half the price than another one we tried. We ordered a second one for another room. And yes, it does the job very well at this point, it's so helpful, to orient my dad to full date and time, when he can't remember! And he says so too!FYI, The other clock we purchased was by Robin. It was twice the price of the MASSII clock and the screen display image had a very ugly glare, like a very old computer, very few meaningful display option; you cannot label alarm settings; the alarm sound itself is horrible, like a very-very old mechanical telephone or a bad recording of a "big-ben" alarm clock. So, we decided very quickly even before ever testing the other functions, such as the clock speaking/voiced mode, that the alarm and visual features were just too terrible for it to be worth it, especially considering that we do not need the "speaking" function at this point and if we did we still questioned whether it could even possibly make up for the really disturbing, obtrusive alarm. Lastly, the buttons to set the clock are also pretty annoying, while other cheaper brand digital clocks have easier buttons plus a very easy remote control.Good luck with your purchase choices.

To answer questions that some have had that may or may not be explained in product description or by the Rufus question box: Unit uses stand that merely screws in, that makes the clock approx 5 in deep so shelf needs to be that deep*** Battery for remote is provided and is CR2025 available most everywhere and is replaceable ***Power cord is approx 5 ft long ***Unit does not automatically talk but will recite screen only if you press the OK button on remote ***Daylight savings changes automatically by setting country but can be turned off if you live in state that doesn't use it ***can change day and night brightness and the time it changes which also changes day description for example from predawn to morning. ***It came with time set and only a minute off. I wanted it to match my computer time so I left hour as it was, changed seconds to zero and waited for my computer to advance one minute, and moved the minute on clock to match and and exited. Now they both change time within one second.*** You can customize wake alarms for days you want to get up for work..for example set time for Mon-Fri or Mon-Wed-Fri or what days you want. If you want to get up at a certain time on other days then set any customized reminder to go off on those days or even use 'drink water' alarm and the time you want to wake.***Alarm volume is adjustable and so is duration and can be confirmed by hitting 'OK' on remote ***Arrived well packaged. Instruction book has clear instructions with a page dedicated to trouble shooting such as if remote not working, be sure tag is removed from remote so battery connects *** Remote is small, seems easy to lose so I attached a large, plastic clothes pin to the bottom edge of it to make it easier to locate...NOT the top as that would block transmission. Remote functions for me at about 8-10 feet away ***You can set the format of how info is shown on the screen and there are color options.***Seniors with issues may need assistance to get to desired settings ***As I've only had a short time, I can't tell whether it gains/loses time though it would be easy to fix. At his time, I am quite pleased with the item and I ordered a second one for another room hoping they don't die before I do...HA. Nice that the remote for the first one also works on the second one!!!!! When I unplugged and moved the first one and plugged back in....ALL SETTINGS remained, ***Price is decent compared to others with less functions/options and are without a remote.

This clock is the perfect minimalist item for gifting to seniors. It works well easy instructions to set time and you have many options to change time/font color and it comes with an remote. It also has manual features on the back just in case you lose the remote and options to hang on wall or free stand. It would be better if there were a slot on the clock that can actually hold the remote when not in use and for easy find. The person that received this item really likes it. I would definitely recommend purchasing.

We got the larger version as Mom has limited vision. She LOVES it. Easy to read numbers & letters (like that they look like normal print, rather than pieced together digital numbers/letters). Having not just the time, but also the time of day (e.g., "morning" as well as a.m.), day of the week, month (spelled out)/day/year helps Mom stay oriented, without her needing to ask all the time.Setup was fairly intuitive (though Mom couldn't have done it), and there are multiple options for color, layout, etc.Negatives are 1) cord is not very long (you may need an extension cord); and 2) cord attaches to the SIDE of the clock rather than the middle of the bottom - so when it's hung on the wall, the weight of the cord tends to pull the right corner of the clock down so won't stay straight. We need to either add another nail under the bottom right corner for it to rest on, or add an adhesive pad to stick it in place. The positives FAR outweigh the negatives, though. SO GLAD we found this amazingly helpful device.
