Best Priced.... much more economic rather than changing auto head unit that lackedOld School auto cassette player adapter to BT.... this method...Saved over $600

I have avoided buying Bluetooth tape deck converters because of the inability to charge while in the player. This one has that ability. It’s for my daughter’s car and she loves it. The sound quality is good and it connects easily. The navigation buttons are a nice feature. Haven’t tried the phone/mic quality on it yet.

This is easy to use and my phone connects quickly, so the UX is honestly wonderful. Having three buttons makes this easy to use, as well. There are three cons, though:1. Sound only comes out of the right speaker, making this unusable. I’ve tried flipping the cassette, panning my volume all the way to the left in my phone’s accessibility settings, and panning left through my car stereo. All methods lead to muffled nonsense.2. The volume is extremely low. I need to turn my phone AND my car stereo to max volume if I’m driving on the freeway. If I forget it’s up so high and then switch to the radio, I’m hit with sudden ear damage.3. The battery indicator light, which also shows whether a phone is connected, is impossible to see unless you look through an extremely tiny crack in the control case. Thus if you assume your phone is connected and start driving, the cassette may not even be on, and you can’t tell. It’s unusable garbage, but there are some nice features that leave me wishing it worked:1. You can turn it on without removing the cassette. My previous Bluetooth cassette had its power button on the cassette itself, not the wired controller, which made powering on or off a real pain.2. You can charge it while it is in use. My precious cassette did not have this feature.3. The charging port is in the controller. My previous cassette had a charging port on the cassette itself.4. There are three buttons: power/pause, previous, next. The only thing missing is volume control.5. The cord from the cassette to the controller is short, which makes the control buttons sit near all other buttons I use to control sound in my car. My previous cassette had a very long cord, so I had to find the controller every time I wanted to use it, but I like that this one is short.6. Beeping to indicate low battery life doesn’t begin until just before the battery dies. At that point, you can simply plug it in and keep using, which is great. My precious cassette started beeping every 30 seconds when it got to 30% battery, making it only 70% usable. This model allows users to get near maximum usage out of it with a convenient fix to a low battery that doesn’t sacrifice listening time.If the sound weren’t messed up, I’d love this thing. But it’s ultimate purpose is, in fact, making sound, and therefore it’s unusable and I’ll likely go back to using a wired cassette.

Ordered it due to reviews saying it did not give static feedback…..well this one does. Not as annoying or loud as other ones, but still there.

Make sure you charge this thing to its fullest capacity. Because you can't charge it while it's in there. It lasts for a long time, but if you run out of juice you can't charge it on the go. It's a mechanical thing. The cassette loading mechanism is very exact. So if you try to connect a USB to it it won't sit in there correctly. Play some 80s Depeche mode in there for me will you? Haha.

Works perfectly. Connects to my phone every time I turn it on, and charges while in use. No complaints. Can’t speak to sound quality, because I’m using it with a am/fm/tape stereo in a 75 GMC truck, and that’s not going to sound great to modern ears. But it’s probably fine.

I was skeptical!!! Now I am singing away all day! Interesting that for the first min was a bit crackly. I lowered the volume on the radio and raised the volume on my phone and things got better, but it has now seemingly normalized, and the sound is gone. I'm guessing the tape player, was cleaning itself out after 25 years of disuse.being able to charge the unit while it is plugged in is great.
