My Elite 2 controller is back to working perfectly. I will say, if you have the tools, go for it otherwise you will probably destroy something or ruin something. Sticks work as they should. When you are theeading the sticks, start by turning them counterclockwise and when you feel it catch the threads, then start threading it, otherwise you may strip these easy as they are aluminum.

Very nice kit and comes with everything you need minus the soldering iron and solder. I was unsuccessful in my install but that’s user error lol. Seem well built.

Replacement kit is fine. However, this is not a simple replacement if you do not have soldering skills. My problem was not the joystick or POTS. I spent too much time trying to get this fix to work.

Functionally these parts work perfectly. It took forever to get the existing parts off, but once they were removed the rest was great.

One of the joysticks included in this kit was sticking out of the box, so I used the second one included. -1 star for sending one non functional joystick. Need a soldering kit for it, but video was straight forward and as long as you follow the steps you will end up with a working joystick.

Great replacement joystick components. Fast delivery. The videos are quite good for diagnosing the various issues as well as replacing the necessary components. It’s a pretty straightforward process if you’re decent at soldering. Joystick works like new!

Installed these in a Xbox Elite controller series 2 that had a dead L3 button. This takes a considerable amount of time and skill. Ifixit rates this repair as Difficult. You really need a high quality solder station and powered vacuum solder sucker to perform this repair. The contact legs were all bent on arrival, they had to be straightened in order to fit the circuit board. After assembly both sticks have excessive drift. I suspect these may be factory seconds. I have owned five Elite series 2 controllers and from the factory they have all had less that 0.5% drift on any stick. These are in the 5-15% range. I suspect these are factory seconds or "third shift" parts with no QC.
