It’s been getting very cold here in NC. And we’re not used to having to break ice. This awesome little heater has been a life saver. Just leave it in the trough and plug it in for just a few minutes and boom no more ice! Hope it lasts the whole winter!

Plugged it up and it started to smell, then smoke was coming from the water! It was crazy, I saw a spark in the water & jerked it out, unplugged it and it went up in flames!Don’t think this safe for anything unless you want to start a fire. I’m usually not easily scared, but that gave me a fright!

Lately it’s been temu products at Amazon prices. The digital thermometer did not work nor will it work even with new batteries I can return the whole thing or or the thermometer, but should’ve got something different without the thermometer.

This immersion heater is a good solution for any time I want to remotely heat water. I bought it for use in a portable tub that I’m using while I do a big bathroom renovation. I have access to cold water, so rather than carrying buckets of hot water and having them get cold before I can get in, I just fill with cold and plonk this in. It heats pretty quick because of the high wattage. It’s kinda like having a sous vide for my tub, haha. Same general idea, with a submersible heating coil, protected by a metal sleeve. I like that it comes with a digital thermometer. I just put the thermocouple in the water and can monitor the temperature without having to dip my hand all the time. It works well. Cleanup is easy, the heating element only needs a gentle scrub if deposits start building up on it.
