  • When the product is relatively large, it cannot be baked in the oven or the product cannot withstand the temperature of the oven.
  • Our Water transfer paper process is dried naturally,The pattern also has strong adhesion, the natural drying time is related to the humidity in the air, about 1 to 3 days.
  • Tips:

You need to buy an extra bottle of glossy oil, because water-based ink will dissolve in water, you need glossy oil to protect the pattern, please follow the operating instructions for specific operations .

How to choose glossy oil :glossy oil is coat of acrylic or printable vinyl and transparent waterproof coating.

Precautions for water transfer paper operation instructions

Step 1: Print Image

Step 1: Print Image

Water transfer paper work on water-based inkjet printers, adjust the print settings to photo printing

Tips:

1. The pattern must be printed on the mirror side surface.

2. Print settings photo printing.

Step 2: Dry the ink

Step 2: Dry the ink

1. Dry naturally for about 3 to 10 minutes

2. Blow dry, about 10 to 30 seconds

3. Blow the entire pattern evenly

4. Put it in the oven and bake it dry,

5. Temperature 80 degrees Celsius, time 5 minutes.(Be careful of burns when applying the oven)

Notice: The temperature when the oven is just turned on will be higher than the set temperature, it needs to be preheated for 15 minutes, or use an industrial thermometer to measure the temperature before operating.

How do I know if the ink is dry?

It won't bleed if you touch the pattern with your hands

Step 3: Spray the gloss oil

Step 3: Spray the gloss oil

1. The entire pattern must be covered with coat of the acrylic, and the gloss oil cover the pattern evenly .

2. After spraying the gloss oil, wait 1 minute for the coat of acrylic to level automatically, and dry the gloss oil

3. The pattern cannot be touched before the gloss oil is dry .

4. gloss oil selection, choose leveling and waterproof, the better the leveling, the more uniform the spraying.

Tips:

Under normal circumstances, a single spray of gloss oil can protect the pattern. In order to prevent uneven gloss oil, you can repeat spraying 1 to twice

Step4: Dry gloss oil

Step4: Dry gloss oil

1. Dry naturally for 10-20 minutes

2. Blow dry with hot air blower, blow for about 10 seconds each time, check whether it is dry, if it is not dry, repeat for 10 seconds

It is prohibited to use the oven to dry

Tips:

Gloss oil should not be too dry, 90% dryness is the best

How to judge the dryness of gloss oil?

At the corners of the decal paper (non-pattern area), press it with your hand. If fingerprints appear or the coat of acrylic is damaged, the degree of drying is insufficient.

If you feel that the hardness is high, or you see cracks, the transfer cannot be continued, and it can be easily judged by actual operation.

The water transfer paper after spraying the varnish can be completed within 24 hours and cannot be stored for a long time

Step 5: Cut Out Image

Step 5: Cut Out Image

Use scissors to cut out the pattern you want to create

Tips:

1. Decal regular patterns, regular patterns are easy to cut, and cut 0.5mm along the edge of the pattern.

2. When you decal some irregular patterns and it is not easy to cut the shape of the pattern, you can put the pattern on a regular background surface.Print out a regular pattern in this way, so that the edge of the map is aligned with the edge of the object.

For example, when create to a tray, first measure the diameter of the circle at the bottom of the tray, print the pattern size according to the size of the tray, and then cut it along the pattern.

Step 6: Soak In Water

Step 6: Soak In Water

Soaking time: 30 to 60 seconds

1. The transfer film and base paper begin to separate in about 30 seconds. The longer the soaking time, the more water will be absorbed and the greater the degree of separation.

2. Wet the surface to place the decal on for easier decal manuever and positioning.

Tips:

1. As soon as the pattern is put in the water, it will absorb moisture and produce a rolling effect, and will gradually flatten after absorbing moisture.

2. When the soaking time is too long, it will cause the transfer film to become very soft, and the pattern is easy to lose shape during the mapping process

3. The soaking time is too long, the complete separation of transfer film, the film is very soft easy to fold together, it is not convenient to flatten

Step7:Attach

Step7: Attach

Take out the soaked decal and place onto a desired surface with the image side facing up.

Tips:

1. The edges of the decal paper before separation must be aligned with the edges of the items that need to be attached. After aligning and determining the direction, start to pull out the base paper to avoid moving the pattern to a large extent to prevent the pattern from being deformed.

2. When the pattern is relatively large, the entire surface of the base paper needs to be drawn out evenly to avoid excessive twitching in a single direction and deformation of the transfer film when it is pulled.

Step8:Separate

Step8: Separate

1.When the pattern transfer is completed, there will be some slight wrinkles and moisture remaining.

You can use the detached base paper to fold in half, and fold in half 3 times to remove water and air bubbles from the center to the outside.

2. Because there is moisture on the transfer object, the transfer film pattern is also very slippery, and it is easy to deform the pattern, so you need to slightly press the pattern with your hand to slowly drain the moisture.

3. Finally, use a soft paper towel to dry the surface of the object

Step9:Dry

Step9: Dry

Bake:

Bake dry (bake for about 15 minutes, bake temperature 100-120 degrees)

2. For products that can't be put in the oven, you can use a hair dryer to dry, and leave it for about 3 days after drying to achieve the best adhesion.

3. Dry naturally, about 3 days

Tips

You can spray gloss oil once on the decal finished product to achieve the best protection effect

These arrived curled up and they won't go through the printer ... Totally unusable. Very disappointed.UPDATE: I decided to try flattening the curled product I had received by placing a very heavy flat item on top of it for a few days, and it did flatten them out - haven't tried running them through the printer again, but my guess is that these will work exactly as intended now.I received a message from the seller offering a full refund - because they have flattened back out, I will use the sheets and not file for a refund that I don't really have coming now that the problem has been fixed. BUT, I am extremely impressed with this seller, their prompt resolution and their genuine commitment to customer satisfaction!!! Honestly, I would be one thousand percent comfortable ordering ANY product from this seller because I know if the product has issues, the seller WILL make it right.

I'm starting a business building custom guitars and needed a way to put my logo on the headstock. This worked beautifully. After applying and drying I sprayed it with an oil based satin clear coat. Then I sanded it down smooth and applied another clear coat. Looks very professional. I would definitely recommend this to a friend. And I will be buying more in the future.

I was initially skeptical about these inkjet water slide decals. I printed up various decals for my antique American Flyer trains using the instructions provided. The translation on the instructions wasn't great, but could be followed. After printing and to seal the water soluble ink, I coated the decals with an automotive clearcoat touch up paint since some of them were rather small. As long as the clear was thick enough, the ink does not dissolve in the water. The decals applied well but are rather thin and can stretch if you're not careful. After doing two decals, I got the process down using these and have been pleased with the results. The only reason I didn't give them five stars was that they are so thin. Large decals did tend to stretch if not being careful. I found brushing a generous amount of Micro-sol onto the item before applying the decal made it easier to reposition. Without it, the decals are VERY hard to reposition.

The key to success is:1. print decal and let dry overnight, even a couple of nights2. seal with Rustoleum 2x clear matt rattle can paint. Liberally. Let dry overnight3. apply two more coats of Rustoleum clear waiting at least 12 hrs between. In opposing direction4. surface must be sealed. Water should bead on it. If not, apply a coat Minwax Polycrylic ( I had to as I had used artists acrylic paint which must be sealed after use).5. Cut the decal out. Soak in warm water for a minute or so until you feel the backing slip. Then wait a few seconds more. For the clear I had to soak for 90 seconds and use tepid water.6. Use a painters brush and wet the area before sliding the decal on.7. Carefully slide the decal until it touches the surface then pull the backing out in a straight line.8. Position with the wet brush and wet q-tip. Pat dry9. Apply a coat of Minwax Polycrylic over the decal area. Let dry overnight, then clearcoat the plane. If you rush and don't let the sealer cure it won't provide enough support to the decal when its wet and the decal will buckle. If you don't soak the decal long enough, especially the clear, it will tear/stretch.Have patience and use care and these decals will work wonders. This company makes both clear and white-backed decals.Good Luck.

I research anything I'm interested in buying reading both positive but especially the negative reviews to look for experience (positive and negative) and what to look out for in advance of any negatives. Sometimes the negative aspects outweigh any positive for problems experienced. Occasionally this has changed my mind altogether on buying what I was interested in, and that saved me potential problems.Having researched this product on YT videos, and having read the wonderful reviews of experience by reviewers here on Amazon, I'd like to give a shout-out and a big Thank you in advance of working with this product to: Catherine add Nicholas Jacobs. Love your reviews based on your experience and advice - this way I know I will avoid 'newbie' problems and I can work in confidence. Thank you so much!

I did some research on YouTube before attempting to use these. Happily surprised by how easy these are to use.1. Laser print ink may be waterproof [can't test that myself]2. Inkjet ink is NOT waterproof - it does need to be sealed first. So first I printed out images to one transfer sheet. Make sure to print on to the shiny side ;-) Let that dry. Then sprayed on a coat of lacquer and left that to dry.3. Then I trimmed out the images and placed them ink side down into some resin molds. Using a water soaked tissue, applied and held the water on to the paper side. Within seconds the paper could easily be slide away from the decal :-) Next leaving that to dry before filling the molds with resin.Be careful in smoothing out any air bubbles -- the way I used these the images were not very movable. Now if one uses the transfer sheets the other way around, on a wet surface, then one has some time to gently rearrange the decal(s).

The clear film that forms the transfer is too thin and breaks up when trying to slide it off the backing

Great value for your money!I just finished 3 full wrap tumblers with this product.Product is thin so I used 4 coats of Rustoleum 2X clear gloss spray paint. It comes off the paper backing easily and doesn't take forever to release from the paper.I love the long working time it gives so I am able to maneuver it without tearing because it is really slippery. You do have to move slowly with a full wrap as it does stretch if you pull to fast or hard but that is with all brands. My printer hates waterslide paper but took this brand with no problem! All and all I'm very pleased with it and would recommend to anyone that is familiar with using waterslide paper.I don't understand all the bad reviews. Other than being thinner it is a good product that gives you some stretch if you need it without treating and it moves around easily on your item so you can get it positioned just right!
