True stainless steel is not magnetic or at least mildly magnetic. Maybe these are stainless plated but clearly not stainless steel as advertised. Misrepresented.

I had bought two hot water bottles. They are not supposed to be stored with their stoppers screwed in, the inside might get moldy if they are not completely dry. I wanted something to tether the stoppers to the bottles (the bottles come with holes for that purpose) so that they don't get lost and while a piece of string would get the job done I thought these chains look a little bit nicer. It is easy to cut the chains to size. Another chain is used for keys, another one to attach some tags Tony dog's harness, another one with measuring spoons hangs on a hook in the kitchen. I'm sure I will find more uses for them.

These are perfect for necklaces: sturdy, the balls are just the right size, and they are quite long but the length is easily adjustable.My only "beef" is the color. These are more steel-looking than sterling silver-looking. Yes, I know they are not sterling, but I previously bought some similarly priced ones that had some sort of plating on them that looked a little more "expensive". Unfortunately, it is very hard to gauge metal colors from photos ... so it was my bad. I will definitely use these, though!
