They are pretty easy to see through. I like both the black and white sheets - the white are good for doing comic book like eyes in a mask and the black are good when doing a missing eye effect or for lens’s in a plague doctor mask (which was all the rage a few years ago 😸). I don’t know how the would be to paint, you’d have to be careful you can still see when you’re done.

I can’t comment on the printability of this mesh or heat transferring. But I did cut some to fit, to go inside a mask to hide the wearer’s eyes and provide a little sun protection. Glued in place, it does its job.One, this stuff is stiff, so don’t expect the flexibility of fabric. They say you can also use it for embroidery but it seems too stiff for that (it’s plastic, you’re not getting it into an embroidery hoop for sure.Two, as far as value goes, you get enough in one pack, both black and white, to cover the eye holes of so many masks. There’s enough here for many more masks than most people will really need, which makes good value for the money but could result in wastage, unless you’re producing a lot of masks or have a lot of friends to share the leftovers with.

The eyes are definitely not in the package and the fine print states that it is only the mesh sheets. Very disappointed in the imo intentionally misleading image. Sending back.

This mesh was easy to cut and sew into the Halloween mask that I made. Although, it appeared thick, it was easy to sew. People can't see into your eyes, but you can see through perfectly. It is perfect for CO-Play. The package included both black and white and plenty of it. I will have it for many Halloweens to come, which makes it very economical.
