I'm not sure if these are any different than the old 80s style 3-way connectors but I can say they work great. I'm using one to combine two antennas and I've had no issues at all.

When I first saw the price, I was taken aback. I've known people that have used modified TV splitters to do the same job, with varying levels of success. These cost a fair amount more than TV splitters for sure... Honestly, These are not cheap cable TV splitters that have been repurposed for use in pro audio. I thought they might be, but that is simply not the case. The build quality is exceptional. One look inside the enclosure and you'll see that these are not low-end products. What do they do? Well, when you're dealing with wireless microphone receivers and IEM transmitter systems, all those products hanging out in the same frequency ranges can create dropouts and problems... these modules give you the ability to combine all these devices onto a combined antenna scheme to keep all the wavefronts from beating each other up... that's the easiest way to explain it.Used in combination with quality antennas (which are not included), this enables a much better RF environment. They can be used to SPLIT one antenna into TWO receivers or combine two TRANSMITTERS onto one antenna, and they do it well.I was unfamiliar with this brand, but after seeing these devices, I'm looking forward to trying some of their other products in the future.
