The menu covers were of good quality and seemed to be sturdy however, 20 of the lot I purchased were filled with mold inside and on the cover…vendor should take better care in storage as these are for a restaurant and is unacceptable

I'm glad that it doesn't have anything written on the front. This is not only great for menus but you can use them as photo holders.

The first thing to know about these menu holders is they are EXACTLY as described in the Amazon listing. (Go on, go read it.) They are plain (no logos or marks) flat-black leather on a board with a solid feel; corners to hold 81/2" x 11" paper or card stock. They open easily and lay completely flat.Indeed, these are sufficiently elegant, and sufficiently plain, that they could be used for several other purposes, including a presentation folder with some sort of company or entity logo on the left side and a certificate of a ward or completion or some such on the right. (Or if used horizontally the top and the bottom). They could also be used as a quick temporary display for a photograph or even a sign because they stand vertically, partially open, very nicely. In that respect they can be left standing and open on a table to display the menu, or even with a program on one side and table reservation information on the other. (Like oh say, at a horse show.)Very nice indeed -- and exactly as described, including that they do NOT have a chemical smell.CAVEAT: The photograph suggests that there might be a plastic cover sheet for the menu area. There is not one, and that look appears to be an artifact of the particular paper used in the photo model. If a plastic covers sheet is wanted, that will need to be ordered separately. (To be clear, the item description does not mention a plastic cover sheet, but it was a surprise at first because of the way the photo looks. Not a crisis just something to be aware of . . .)At just a few dollars per folder, a good price for a useful product. Durability assessment will have to wait until they get knocked around a bit.
