This is one versatile tool that every handyman / mechanic should have in their tool box. Great for getting inside and cleaning small orifices. I had a set from years ago that has taken it's fair share of use over the years. I needed a new set and these were a great price for two. These are just like my old set and have many size wires to work with. My primary uses for them is to clean rebuild carburetors and cleaning the tip of my pressure washer.

Disclaimer! I have not actually used these yet to attempt to file a nut, so I do not know how well they will cut or how well they will work after being used, how durable they are for the claimed purpose of filing nut string slots.I am reviewing right away because if you order as I did, thinking that "guitar nut slotting file needles" as in the headline will mean the array of sizes will include sizes close to .010 through .056 or so, like me you will find that is wrong. The metric sizes are listed (I have not tried to see if they are accurate as per conversion), but if you refer to inches like me ***you will want to know*** that the actual diameters of these files are ~.020-~.063.That means there are no diameters lower than .020 (actual diameter, measured with digital calipers I use in my professional work for measuring in .001s.On the other hand, similar files to these have gotten reviews saying they're too flimsy for effective nut slot filing. These are stiffer than I expected based on those reviews. They to and will flex, and they are definitely shorter than I expected basically ordering based on the photos but not reading the description as closely as I should have, but they are not as flexy as what I expected based on negative reviews I saw of similar files before I bought Music Nomad and Stew Mac files. I will say I don't think the .020 is as problematic as the Stew Mac .010 I have. The SM .010 is very flexy, and sort of stays bent, and I would say that file is actually significantly more problematic just in terms of flex and bend than the .020 in this combo.
