I wish the couch came with metal levers, instead of plastic. I was so happy to find replacements without having to buy new furniture. These are made of metal and were easy to replace (even by someone not so mechanically minded like myself). The are made of metal and shouldn't break like the original ones. Definitely a good value for the money.

I bought the metal ones. i will have to file the cable holder down just a bit to get it large enough for the metal end on mine to fit in. mine is just a little too large in diameter to fit in the slot.

Chairs came with cheap plastic handles without springs. Didn’t last two months before breaking. These were direct fit replacements and should come standard on new chairs. Solid and work with great ease!

Would give it a 5 but not sure how it will last. I am replacing a plastic version while this is metal. It should be more durable. More expensive than plastic option but I think it's worth extra cost. Feels very sturdy and well built. The spring in cable is nice feature. It fit right up with my recliner without fuss or problem. It seems to be a very well made and good product

Very easy to install,each side took about 5 minutes. Manufacturer should note that cable feral needs to be threaded into handle release.

I have gone through a couple of these cables and this is by far the best configuration with the all metal handle, screw-in guide and spring-loaded cable- took about 5 minutes to replace broken release. Would definitely recommend.

Easy to install..adjustable meaning you can make the couch open quicker. Far better design than original. Going to change both even though only one needed changing. Metal handles have a premium feel.
