They are fully stretched just standing in the middle of a 10 foot paddle board.Feels like someone is pulling back your on your foot at all times. Ended up not using a returning.

These were very thick. It depends on how the old cords attach. We had to cut ours off just after the closet loop and thread these through. Very comfortable arm straps with strong velcro.
