our previous bolts had been rusted from continual water spray from the shower ...so we finally got the tools necessary to remove the old bolts and replace with new ones...it was simple to unscrew .although I admit I had someone else doing the unscrewing for me...and replacing the new bolts and cover made it much more appealing than It looked prior

All the parts in this package are of very high quality. The caps are made of glossy hard plastic unlike most of the toilet bolt caps from the hardware stores. There are no printed instructions. The pictures on the product page are kind of misleading, I think. It is important to have the flat side of the white bottom piece facing up so that the cap can be pushed down in place securely. This is how I installed it. 1. Large metal washer (existing) 2. Small metal washer (included) 3. White bottom piece (flat side up) 4. Small metal washer (my own) 5. Nut (existing) 6. Cap (included) I did not have to use the included bolts and rubber washers. The price is quite reasonable considering the quality of the product.
