The ribbon is attached to the stick. Profesional ribbons for dancing are supposed to rotate without getting twisted within itself.

It’s good quality for play. I’d hoped it had the ring on it so the ribbon would spin around on the stick but it doesn’t. It sometimes gets wrapped around the stick. No biggie. Not for competition.

It’s lots of fun. We did have to glue back the bead on my first purchase. But who doesn’t have a little super glue at home and that fixed it for us.
