I needed a muck stick to replace my stainless steel one where the welded shaker head snapped off after many uses in strong currents where it had to be stuck in hard into the sand. This one fits the bill because its one piece so there is no weak point. Its made out of aluminum so there is no worry about rusting. The split ring is made of non-magnetic stainless steel so it also won't rust with repeated exposure to sea water. The only thing is the thin lanyard, which might be suitable for casual use, but is a little flimsy for scuba diving. Not that the thin cord is not strong enough to hold the stick, but repeated abrasion and gets snagged by other gears might cause the cord to eventually break. That's a minor thing for otherwise a good piece of diving accessory.

Just glad we got these as it makes it so much easier to point at things that are small and to assist with the current when trying to hold yourself to get that perfect shot. Light weight and great color on the stick. It says black but it is almost like a gun metal grey and looks amazing. Sturdy and easy to read markings. Will enjoy this for a long time and will be a part of every dive.
