Summary: Sauna thermometers must be reasonably accurate, but more importantly, they must register changes in temperature in real time. This is the first "sauna thermometer" that certifiably meets these standards.Testing: The unit was placed in the refrigerator overnight, then placed at ambient room temperature of 71 degrees with a timer, and measurements were taken. The temperature adjusted +10 degrees (50F) at the 1:10 mark, and +20 (60F) at the 5:15 mark, which are outstanding results. After 10 minutes, there was +25 (65F) in temperature adjustment and -10% in humidity adjustment. Overall, these are very good results. Conclusion: I've tested several units that claim to be for "sauna" use, but in every case, those units did not register changes in ambient temperature timely. In a sauna, timely temperature updates are a matter of life and death. For example, if the temperature gauge registers only 140F but it's actually 190F, someone might linger in the sauna until they pass out and die!!

This thermometer has a very simple design, but it’s effective. It works as expected. Both the heat and humidity readings seem accurate. This thermometer can easily be hung or attached to your sauna wall. We use a portable sauna with a little pocket inside and keep the thermometer there. It’s thin and very light. Having Celsius measurements in addition to Fahrenheit is also an advantage.
