About this item

  • NOTE: This product is a voltage controller, which turns on and off the output through a relay, which only acts as a switch and cannot change the voltage. In addition, if you have any questions in use, please let us know at the first time.
  • OVER DISCHARGE PROTECTION: This battery controller provides a high degree of flexibility in terms of discharging modes and parameter settings. Users can easily set the parameter to disconnect the battery automatically when it reaches a preset voltage, thus preventing over-discharging and extending battery life. With its customizable parameters, this battery controller allows users to tailor their power management system to their specific needs and preferences.
  • MEMORY FUNCTION: With power-off protection, it will save your settings in the event of an unexpected loss of power. This feature is crucial for electronic devices that require specific configurations, as it prevents the loss of critical data and allows you to resume work where you left off.
  • DELAY TURN-ON: That means, after a disconnect, the interval between turning on again. The time range that can be set is 0-999 seconds
  • PARAMETER: Board Size: 57 x 42 x 19mm/2.24 x 1.65 x 0.75inch(L*W*H); Input Voltage: DC 12-36V; Accuracy: 0.1V; Power Consumption: <1.5W; Maximum Amperage before Breaker Trips: 20A

  • Support delay 0-10 minutes to reconnect
  • Reliable and easy to set up
  • Input Voltage Range: DC12-36V
  • Control Accuracy: 0.1V
  • Compatible Battery: lead acid, lithium ion battery, solar panel battery

Instructions

  • Double press the “+” button, and when the decimal point is flashing, press the “+” or “-" button to set the disconnect voltage.
  • Double press the “-" button, and when the decimal point is flashing, press the “+” or “-" button to set the difference value.
  • Long press the “+” button, and when the LED screen is flashing, press the “+” or “-" button to calibrate the input voltage.
  • Long press the “-" button, and then press the “+” or “-" button to set the delay value T. That is to say, when the output voltage reaches the reconnect value, it will delay T minutes, the load reconnects. The delay time range from 000 to 010 minutes, and it displays like: 000 or 001 or 005 or 010. Note that no decimal point is displayed at this time.
  • Press the “+” button to view disconnect voltage.
  • Press the “-" button to view difference value.

*What is the "difference value"?

The value between the disconnect voltage and the reconnect voltage. That is to say, difference value = reconnect voltage - disconnect voltage

For example

1. How to set if I want it to stop outputting when the voltage is lower than 11V and start when the voltage is over 11.6V?

  • Double press “+” and the LED starts flashing, press the “+” or “-" button to set the value as 11V. After the flashing stops, double press “-" and when the LED is flashing, press the “+” or “-" button to set the difference value as 0.6V.

2. How to set if I want it to stop outputting when the battery voltage is lower than 12.5V and when it is over 14.8V, it starts outputting after 2 minutes?

  • Double press “+” button to set it as 12.5 and then double press “-" button to set the difference value as 2.3 (because 14.8V-12.5=2.3V). And then press and hold on the “-" button, set T=2.

Why it doesn’t has output when I first connect it?

For example, if the disconnect volt is 9V and the difference value is 5V, then:

  1. When first connected, if the battery is lower than 9V, the relay is disconnected;
  2. When first connected, if the battery is higher than 9V but lower than 14V (9+5), the relay is disconnected;
  3. When first connected, if the battery is higher than 14V(the reconnect voltage), the relay is connected;
  4. During use, the module will be disconnected when the voltage drops to 9V, and will be automatically reconnected when the battery is charged to 14V.

Something You Need to Know...

  1. This product works great to cut off the voltage when a battery discharges to a set level. It stops the output/load but you can NOT leave a battery hooked up to this product. This voltage cutoff (this product) stays on and will continue to drain the battery as this product (understandably) needs electricity to operate. True, this product will drain the battery much more slowly than your load was probably draining the battery, but make no mistake, this product consumes electricity after disconnecting the load and gets that electricity from your battery, eventually draining it.
  2. It can only work with a single battery, not work well with the battery in parallel(battery pack). Most big batteries are made of many small batteries inside, such as Mil-waukee/ De-walt battery. So we don't recommend you to use it with these batteries.

recieved the two boards, hooked them up to my variable dc power supply. first board was a weird one. It would show the output LED to go on and off at the right settings but the power out would still be on no matter what the LED said. Second board, must be a short somewhere, my power supply said no go and the board do not even power up.

The settings keep resetting to the default making this effectively useless for me.

Lv works great the only reason I gave it a 2 star is because I paid for two low voltage cutoff but received only one. Don't know if this was an errors in preparing the order. Tried to reach the seller but no response.Has for the LV I recommend it.

The 12V-36V Low Voltage Disconnect performs well once properly programmed, offering effective control over voltage levels. However, there have been occasional issues where the settings do not hold on the first few attempts. While it may require some initial adjustments, once configured correctly, it reliably serves its purpose in disconnecting power at low voltages. Users may need to be patient during the setup process to ensure optimal performance. Overall, a functional solution for managing low voltage situations with the caveat of needing careful programming.

Disconnect function works well but the timer function that is supposed to allow you to stop it from cycling is inoperable which is unfortunate I like that it allows you to calibrate the voltage

this product works but the manual instructions on setting parameters is very wrong. i found out after returning the first set and playing harder with the 2nd set received. resetting only works after a click to get to the set value follow by a double click to get to the edit mode.

Works great. You hold the left button to set the voltage that the relay will switch off at. Then you hold the right button to indicate the voltage that the relay will switch back on. I had it at 14.4 and 1.5 so the relay turns off at 14.4 and on again at 14.4+1.5.It has some other features to create a slight delay in the switching. Not sure if this is necessary but it works great.I have been running this at 5 amps and 20v continuously without any problems.

There are two types of these and both look similar: ones to prevent overcharge and ones to prevent over-discharge. This is the latter--it disconnects the load when the battery voltage gets to low. I have one connected to my car's starter battery so that I can leave radios etc on all the time and not worry about draining the battery so much it won't start the car. I have another one connected to the auxiliary battery in my car. That battery doesn't have to start the car but I stl don't want to discharge it too much which shortens the life of even a deep cycle battery. I like these becuase it's easy to change the settings (the voltage where it disconnects when it gets to low, and the difference between that voltage and where it will reconnect. I set the low voltage at 12 v for the auxilary battery and 12.5 volts for the starter battery. Both are set a 1 volt difference so they reconnect when the engine starts charging the batteries again.) I really like that I can view the battery voltage all the time.

When used with PC775-1A-12C-D-X | 75 Amp 12 VDC Automotive High Current Power Relay, SPST-NO 12VDC Coil with Diode & Bifurcated Contacts, it has, for now, solved the problem of low voltage high amperage fusing of the starter solenoid contacts, and resulting run on of the starter.Put simply, it works.
