I've only installed one of these so far in our walk-in refrigerator. I mounted it right outside the entry door of the refrigerator, alongside a digital thermometer that is tied to the Coolbot setup. I did this, just in case their's an electronics failure of the temperature sensing-side of our setup. Anyhow, this mechanical thermometer reads within a degree of the digital one, which is confidence inspiring to us, as to it's potential thermal accuracy. Installation was a breeze in our case, as I merely razored out a hole in the sheetrock, outside of the refrigerator and then drilled an 1/4" hole through the wall entirely, to feed the thermocouple through to the refrigerated space inside. Then, I caulked that same access hole, to seal up the space surround said thermocouple, both from the outside, then the inside. I then seated the thermostat body into the hole, after applying a small ribbon of construction adhesive to the underside of the outer lip of the bezel. Then, I pre-drilled out three holes (matching the position of the tapered holes that are pre-drilled into the face plate and finished the installation by setting the three provided screws in place. Everything is working great thus far, so I have no problem with recommending this product to others. However, if over time, these thermometers ever fail or become problematic, then I will update this review accordingly. Until then, enjoy!
