These are well made and look good. But they are not a professional size. You do get 2 pairs.

Beginner castanets, great value, sound is ok, not awesome yet not plastic like so it is a good buy. Color will fade or fall off though.

I haven't had a set of castanets in many years, since I was a child. I hadn't quite gotten the hang of them then, but I'm determined to now. I have always loved castanets.These are nice and light, made of a dark wood and finished nicely. They have a pleasant sound to them. I find myself occasionally carrying them around the house, absently clacking away. I enjoy the sound! My cats probably think I'm crazy, but it won't be the first time.Good for beginners to learn on.

Pretty much as advertised, in good condition, And a nice little gift. The boxes were pretty flimsy. The one thing that bothered me was that there were labels stuck in places that made the boxes unattractive, and they were almost impossible to remove.

These are made of real wood, look nice, and clack together satisfyingly.They're not professional quality castanets by any means, but (in my unprofessional opinion) should suffice for kids or even amateur musicians/performers who want to try them out.If you're really serious about your castanets, you'll probably want something made out of fancier wood, with a more hardened finish, produced with more rigorous consistency, etc. But I'm very satisfied with these for our own use.We have a lot of instruments in our house, and are pleased to add these little guys to the collection.

My thoughts on "1 Pair Spanish Castanets with String, Traditional Spanish Flamenco Castanets for Adults & Kids, Wooden Musical Percussion Instruments for Beginners (BROWN--1 PAIR)":By no means am I an expert at castanets. The product, however, is advertised as proper for the "beginner level." As a beginner, I am very disappointed with this item. Although it works and produces sounds, the appearance could be more encouraging. Castanets are very uneven, and the lacquer is chipping off in many places. The inside of the castanets looks very unpleasant as well. On one castanet, the wood is cracked.I would not have ordered this product if I knew how it looked.Thanks!
