The blades aren't the best but after some tweaking I was able to get it working alright. You have to slowly cut into the paper before trying to slide it down and if you hit a snag you have to pull out the scissors anyway. Great idea to solve a simple problem but unlike the old scissors if you get stuck you can't just recut so get the perfect cut the first time or go back to the classic cutting method. The extra blades were nice to include but once they're used your product goes into the trash unless you can find some replacement blades somewhere else. It shouldn't require practice to use a product like this but it does, however once you get it down it will work as advirtised. Good luck out there papercutters.

If you want a smooth and straight edge, this device is for you.First cut with the cutter over the roll works the best. You need to be a bit more careful making a second; the paper must be held securely.Overall, it's an upgrade over scissors.

Were you looking for something to simplify the gift wrapping process? Keep looking. I have tried this on thin to thick wrapping paper following provided instructions, and without fail this device just rips the paper horrendously. It seems like the blades are either insufficiently sharpened, exposed, or positioned. This results in the wrapping paper bunching up inside the crevice and ruining the cut. The device is overly large for traditional wrapping paper which further increases the difficulty of the process.It’s made gift wrapping more frustrating and cannot serve its singular purpose.Buy a pair of dull scissors, they’ll work better than this device. I’ll be looking to return this item.

Yup! It cut the paper like butter. Great for my arthritic thumbs too, very easy to use. Sad to think of all the years I DIDNT have this! If you wrap … Buy it!

This is much to big to almost all rolls of paper unless a mega jumbo roll. I was with the understanding it did not matter, but it makes using it feel very clumsy. I could not get a straight cut because it could not hold the roll and it tore the paper if not holding very taught. Problem is, it takes two hands to manage the oversized cutting tool. Good things to point out, it is sturdy plastic material and comes with two extra blades. I returned the item after several attempts to get a clean straight cut.
