I've used both of these now. They do well in the dishwasher, and are also easily taken care of by hand washing. I was trying to replace my beloved Ekco nylon spatula that's probably over 30 years old and recently sustained one more melt mark from leaning against a hot pan. I went hunting and found some Ekcos on eBay for $20 - $40, all used and with the scratch and melt marks to prove it. I decided it was probably time to get an upgrade.The size of the blade on these is comparable to my Ekco. The grip part of the handle is very comfortable. Overall, it's very sturdy and feels like it can handle even a quite heavy item. It's not quite as flexible as my cheap (but beloved) Ekco so there is a bit of a learning curve on how to get it under the burger or French toast or whatever else I am trying to turn. I'll need a lot more practice before I try it on an over-easy egg. I like the stainless steel part of the handle very much. It makes it feel strong and sturdy, but not heavy. I just wish the whole thing was 3 inches shorter from tip to tip. It feels like I'm turning things from halfway across the kitchen. Still, it's a great value, and I will probably get used to it over time. I will recommend especially if whoever is going to be using it is tall or afraid of getting too close to a hot pan.

I just got the Solid & Slotted Silicone Spatula Set, and I'm super happy with it! These spatulas are super handy and have become my favorites in the kitchen. The silicone is heat-resistant and really flexible, which makes it easy to scrape every last drop of batter out of my mixing bowls. The slotted spatula works great for flipping pancakes and eggs without tearing them apart. Plus, I can use them on my non-stick pans without any worries about scratches.Cleaning them is super easy too since they're dishwasher safe, which is a big win for me. Very pleased with these, I use to scrape the griddle after a cook to remove a lot of the stuck on food. They wash up nice and do not show any signs of meting from the griddle surface. Great for my cast iron enamel coated griddle.

I read that I should get rid of my cheap black plastic utensils because the plastic gets into your food. I replaced the discarded spatulas with these that are made of metal and silicone. They are much nicer than my old ones and the red matches all my kitchen accessories. This set feels like it will last a long time and the pieces wash easily too.
