Your cart is empty.Although technically not a paint, Plasti Dip is your go-to solution for easy coating of automotive emblems and quarter panels. This red rubber plastic dip can also be used for household repairs and crafts projects. It air dries quickly and becomes the new surface, protecting the original material from environmental exposure and rust. It has been used on vehicles and motorcycles of practically every make and model. Professionals and hobbyists have been touting its benefits since its inception in 1972. As Performix describes it, it’s the “original, peelable, flexible, insulating, non-slip, durable rubber coating.” When applying Plasti Dip, it’s good to choose a well-ventilated, shaded area with minimal air movement. During a period of high humidity, it’s best to wait for dryer weather. The product performs best when the air temperature is around 70 degrees Fahrenheit. In any case, one of the advantages of the Performix spray is that it’s easy to peel and re-do anything that you aren’t completely satisfied with. The process starts with masking off surrounding paint, trim, rubber or glass. Next you’ll need to clean and thoroughly dry the surface(s) where you’ll be applying Plasti Dip. Follow the can’s instructions, but also keep in mind these tips: Try to maintain the same distance while spraying, as moving closer and farther could result in a poor, uneven application. Shoot for 50-60 percent coverage on the first spray. Wait 10 minutes in-between each layer. Take note of areas where a freshly coated surface is immediately adjacent to a non-coated one, as you’ll need to un-mask that part while the final layer is still wet Warning: This product can expose you to chemicals which is [are] known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.

I use this to spray on holloween and christmas decorarions in my yard when they get sun worn and they lose air pressure and can`t stay up tight. using this I have been able to use my blow up decoratorns for 5 years and longer

Came out great. Trends were either blackout or chrome badges. Definitely a unique look apart from everyone else. Wish had more colors of red.

I used this to pasty dip my Tesla logos. It was easy to use and worked well. So far, it is holding up perfectly. It has been on for several months. The first time I used it, I put it on too heavy. It was very easy to remove and re-apply.

I wanted to try this for the emblems on my Wrangler. Happy with the results. Easy to apply. Easy to remove when I did not like what I was doing. Very satisfied with this. Now I can't wait to find other things to cover!
