Expired product do not work

I was looking for a pen type product that I could stain old grout to a continuously constant color. This product is more of a liquid grout in a tube that for me was difficult to apply to the existing grout lines. The kit comes with tape that you're supposed to put on either side of the grout line then filled with grout from this tube. Unfortunately my route lines were on 2x2 in squares which was extremely difficult to use this product on.I think if I was doing two foot by 2 foot square tile it might have been a product that would work. So from my application it did not work but I can see how the product would be useful for larger tile.

Very nice, easy kit. The tube has a fine nozzle for thin spaces. It applies easily, dries well, and is a great seal. I applied it 2 weeks ago and so far, so good.

If you think it will apply like the picture as advertised think again. Its formula is somewhere between caulking and paint. You need to tape off the grout lines and remove the tape before it dries or the newly applied nice white line will come up off the floor in spots. The tools provided didn't help at all. I used my finger wearing surgical gloves. My grout was a big mess that had a lot of cracks, so I am sure it would be a challenge for any grout sealer. I probably should have went with caulking, but this product seemed to work. It covered the kitchen grout lines in my small kitchen using both tubes. I will order more for the next section of flooring when my back stops hurting from being hunched over my grout lines LOL
