Fits perfectly just like I was hoping they wood. And they donโt break the bank if youโre going thru them rapidly.

I purchased the DeWalt 20v vacuum cleaner to clean up construction messes and it's been great. Love that it runs on battery or AC! I also started using it around the house to replace my old Dyson handheld which is on it's last legs. The DeWalt filter (DCV5801H ) that came with it has been excellent. It does filter well and it's lasted months of regular use. You just have to maintain it by knocking it on the side of the garbage can and flushing it with water. When I saw how much OEM DeWalt replacements were, I immediately looked up aftermarket offerings on Amazon and there are tons. This version offers a different take since it comes with foam subfilters that filter out big items and supposedly extends the life of the paper elements. I worried that it would restrict suction and it does. But it's surprisingly less than I thought. I tried it on my DeWalt filter as well and it restricts flow even more. I believe this is because the DeWalt filter is a true HEPA filter and this aftermarket filter is not. Although neither filter is marked "True HEPA" which online sources say is how you can tell the difference. I'd more likely trust DeWalt. As for the effectiveness of the foam subfilter, it's a mixed bag. The main issue is--especially if you have pets--is that foam attracts and holds onto hair/fur (see photo). The paper elements do not. You can tell because clumps of fur are always sitting in the pan. The foam subfilter clogs up very rapidly with dog fur and this restricts flow quite a bit. To offset this, you'd have to clean it frequently. But as anybody knows who use foam microphone windshields, it's a bit of a pain. Hair sticks to foam like tape. The company does include extra foam subfilters for each filter and brushes. That probably tells you that they know what the issues are. Overall, I'm going to continue to use this filter without the subfilter. I'll update how well they hold up work in the longer term. That will be the true test.
