I got this to control the water flow to my Aprilair 400 whole house humidifier. This humidifier has never been able to keep my whole house at the proper humidy level in super cold weather. The water panel would often be dry even when the water was flowing. So, I removed the flow restrictor from the outlet hose and installed this valve on the inlet hose. I am now able to fine tune the water flow with this valve so that my Ecobee thermostat can properly control the humidity levels in my whole house. This fixed the problem. I noticed that other reviewers said they cannot completely turn off the water with this valve, so I tested it on mine. I was able to completely turn off all water flow with this valve. But, I didn't buy it for that purpose. I bought it to control the flow.

This is a great small needle valve for controlling flow. I used it to control the water flow for a whole house humidifier. I am trying to extend the life of the humidifier. seems to be working very well.

Used this for shut off to fridge. The original shut off was far away. Works great and good price. Fine print for new fridge says shut off has to be within 3 feet to hook up. That would have been no problem as I could do it….. however was paying for it all, hookup etc. this fits perfect.

I like the look of this thing which is why I bought it. I use it for dispensing water where my coffee maker is so I don't have to walk back and forth to the sink. Only problem is it leaks ever so slightly no matter how hard I tighten it. Unfortunate, so for now I just let it leak into my coffee's drip tray.
