Made well and worked for what they were needed for.

I replaced the cheap broken ones on my butcherblock kitchen island. Those last 7 years before I noticed scratches in my hard wood flooring. These are much better quality and can handle the weight.

I have an old Lincoln Electric welder that needed to be easier to move around my shop. So I was building a new cart for it and was going to give these casters a shot. They were very easy to incorporate into the cart design and they have done a great job of handling the weight and moving smoothly around my shop. The brakes hold very well and are easy to activate and deactivate with my foot.

I brought these to replace the casters on an older shopvac, as 2 of its 4 original, plastic-sleeved, double-roller casters had broken. I was able to replace them with this product. I had to use the smallest-diameter rubber inserts that were included with the new casters. I had to drill out, slightly, the receiving holes so that the new casters + inserts would fit. It took a bit of effort to insert them, involving a rubber hammer. Doubt that the new setup will fail soon, however.

Worked pretty well for my application, which happened to be an older Ridgid shop vac. These were a bit of an upgrade, as the old original wheels were much skinnier and didn't have any bearings either on the wheel or the stem. It does roll around much more smoothly now, which is cool. I did find them VERY difficult to install, not necessarily the fault of the manufacturer but in my specific application the stems on these new casters were ever so slightly larger than the originals. I had to take the feet off of the vacuum body and literally hammer these into place with a punch until they clicked into place. Keep in mind that the rubber on these wheels is VERY HARD, not at all a soft non-marking compound like I expected them to be. It is more akin to hard plastic, actually. Not a problem for me, but if that's what you're looking for these are not it. They are however very heavy duty and I suspect they'll hold up for a long time to come. In fact, I think they are really overkill for my application.

Probably the easiest fix on a broken piece of furniture I've ever done. Literally, all I had to do was turn the cart over, pop out the crap caster, put in the shiny new awesome one with a bit of a shove. Mine were being installed in metal, not wood or wood products, so keep that in mind.It comes with these little sink things to help it grip into wood (and maybe plastic?) to spread out the pressure rolling the thing will exert on the material holding the stem from the caster. Also maybe to make it fit bigger holes? IDK. I didn't use those, but that's what they look like: stem ribbed sleeve to make it fit a hole, and stem with sleeve that has teeth for gripping wood. Finally, almost forgot... for ages I was in the LOCKABLE CASTERS ONLY Club. (It's a stupid club, of which I was all the officers and members by unanimous vote.) Since I've been using desks and carts that I actually roll around, I only want casters without locks now. It's time for a new club. My old casters kept locking up multiple times daily because they bumped the table or the couch or whatever. Then you try to roll the laptop cart and it almost pushes over because locked casters. THESE HAVE NO LOCKS.And I've not nearly dumped my laptop off a single time since installing them.I now officially elect myself as the President of the NO LOCKS ON CASTERS Club. Or will do as soon as I finish the recounts to make sure it's all fair.

Let's be honest: I often overlook the little things that can make a big difference in my daily life. Furniture casters? They definitely weren't on my radar until I discovered the incredible benefits of these 2-inch stem casters. The ones I have are 5/16" x 1-1/2" in size. These tiny wheels may seem humble, but they have completely transformed how I interact with my furniture.Imagine my bustling kitchen with however many of my 12 children hanging around, maybe a couple of their spouses, definitely a crew of my grandchildren and of course my caboose babies, the triplets who are now 8 years old. Crazy at any given moment and certainly the heart of my home, filled with the sounds of cooking and everything else you can imagine during family gatherings. I used to struggle going back and forth between my cutting countertop which is the entire countertop on my island in the middle of the kitchen and the rest of the kichen; I was always afraid I would plow into a child or trip on an animal. So, my ingenious husband elevated this counter which is about 3x3 feet and holds our paper goods in the cupboards beneath a giant butcher block top. He put the entire weight of its contents on these wheels! I couldn't believe it! And full disclosure, neither could he - he did admit that this is pushing the weight limitations for casters this small but so far, so good! Ever since he added these casters, my I can effortlessly glide the cutting counter across the kitchen with me wherever I go so I can chop vegetables right next to the stovetop where I am adding them into the boiling water or decorate that cake right near the fridge where I am keeping the additional frosting, and not have to be worried about running this way and that afraid I will collide with a child on my way. These casters have turned what once was static obstacle into a dynamic part of my home.Unlike flimsy plastic wheels that crack under pressure, these casters are built to last. They are made from a blend of sturdy iron and high-quality plastic, so they offer the best of both worlds. The iron sockets provide stability, keeping the cupboard securely on top of and attached to the wheels. The plastic wheels are supposed to ensure smooth, scratch-free movement on any surface, whether it's hardwood or carpet, but here in Florida we often opt out of carpet so I can't attest to that one. But I can say that they seem to be built to withstand the rigors of daily wear and tear in my crazy home! The versatility of these casters is unending once I started to think about it. I started thinking about cribs, the twin part of my triplet's bunkbeds, our living room bookshelf so I can finally regularly attack those accumulating dust bunnies, my workshop table... pretty much anything. Because there are two locking and two non-locking casters, I can easily secure my furniture when needed and free it to roll when I want.Installation was simple and my husband had it done in less than half an hour. All he brought into the kitchen to accomplish this project was a screwdriver, a ruler and a drill., and in an amazingly short time My kitchen island was a floating island!
