While I had no issue linking this presentation pointer to my windows, or my Linux machines, I did have to tweak a few things, in Linux Mint, to get it to completely function, but they were minor. It comes with a carry bag, as seems to be the norm with similar models. The wireless dongle is retained by a recessed magnet, in the bottom of the pointer. The device's shell is aluminum, and feels to be premium. This however does not seem to effect its performance, but may play a factor, should it be dropped.

We have a weekly management meeting with a lot of slides during an hour long presentation. I ordered this to make the meeting go a little smoother and save some time. Previously, we would manually push a button the laptop which was not always convenient. We've been using it for a couple of months now and haven't had any problems. Setting it up was easy and the buttons are self-explanatory, in my opinion. The clicker sits in the conference room for anyone to use and I haven't heard any complaints yet. It charges in between with a standard USB-C charger and it charges fairly quickly. The laser pointer is my favorite feature as it points out what is talked about quickly without any effort. It's lightweight, easy to hold and easy to use. So far, I'm happy with how this has worked and each presentation goes smoothly from the laptop to the screen.

I'm enjoying this clicker very much. I have a Mac computer that works perfectly with this clicker. You connect it by inserting a wireless plug into either a USB port or USB-C port and that communicates with the clicker, similar to many wireless mice that have the wireless USB receiver that plugs into one of your computer ports. Perhaps Bluetooth would be easier so as not to take up another port on your computer, but then if you go to another computer, like I frequently do at work, I don't have to mess with syncing it to a new computer via Bluetooth. So for me, this was the more optimal option.I love that the wireless USB receiver is equipped with both an older USB plug as well as a newer USB-C plug. Many of the PCs set up in presentation rooms in my workplace only have USB while my work laptop is only USB-C. When plugging the wireless receiver into one of my USB-C ports for the first time, it wanted to set it up like a keyboard and have me press physical keyboard buttons next to shift keys into order to fully recognize it. This made me pause a moment to decide what I needed to do to continue. I ended up just canceling the setup and opened my PowerPoint and it worked perfectly.I like that the wireless adapter plug is stored by slipping it into the butt end of the slim profile of the clicker. It's magnetic inside so as you slip it in, you can feel the magnetism as it grabs it and holds it in. I haven't shaken the clicker around but I imagine it could slip out at some point and without the receiver, the entire clicker would be useless. I'm not too worried about that since who goes around shaking their clicker remotes vigorously enough to cause the receiver to fall out? It has a satisfying feeling when you feel the magnetism take hold and grab it so I have no problems with this storage solution.I really like the modern look and feel to the clicker. I've had others in the past that were much thicker, though shorter, so this is a good change for me. My older ones used a AAA battery, which you have to remember to carry extras around with you. This one uses a rechargeable battery and comes with a USB to USB-C cable for keeping it charged. It also comes with a small carrying bag, which I keep the clicker and the cable inside in case the clicker is dead when I pull it out and it hasn't been used for a while. The one issue I have with the setup is that the included charging cable needs to be plugged into a USB port, which I already described my laptop as being USB-C only. So, I'll need to make sure I have a USB brick in my bag at all times or a USB to USB-C adapter. I could also look around for a spare USB-C to USB-C cable as I'm sure that would work as long as it carries the power through it to actually charge devices. Going back to my old clicker that was battery powered, the back cover broke with the constant taking it off and putting it on to get to the battery compartment and where the USB receiver was stored, so a setup like this solves that potential break point.Overall, with the design and features, and for the price, I am really liking this clicker. If you are looking for a new one, I'd highly recommend this one.

I have tried a lot of laser pointer/clickers, and this is one of the best ones I've used at this price point. Still, it has its flaws. Let's get into it.First, the design is really well-done. This clicker uses a teardrop form, which is one of two or three designs that clickers take (the others being a stick or flattened stick form). It's ergonomic, so it comfortably fits into the palm of your hand so that your thumb naturally rests right where the main buttons are located. Even better is the fact that the buttons are laid out in an intuitive manner. This is so often missed by clicker designers, but this one gets it right. The laser - the most used button - is dead center, so you know where it is at all times. To its right is the slide advance button, and to the left is the slide reverse button. Incredibly intuitive, indeed. Lesser used buttons are placed above (full screen/exit full screen) and below (black screen). Key here is that all these buttons are shaped differently so they feel different by touch. Unlike other clickers, which used buttons that all feel the same and require you to look down to see what you're pressing, this clicker can be navigated by touch alone. Simple, yet great design. This leads to a second plus of this clicker, which is that it's feature-rich. I've already mentioned the black screen and full screen/exit full screen buttons, but it also has buttons for open window scrolling and selecting hyperlinks in a presentation, as well as volume up/down on its side. As far as clickers are concerned, this one offers a lot of power, but because the design is so good, it doesn't feel cumbersome. But as I mentioned above, this clicker is not without its flaws. First, I realize I touted the ergonomics of this device while in hand, but in practice while using it in an actual lecture it didn't feel quite as good as I was hoping for. I don't know why this was, and maybe this is a minor point, but maybe there's room for some improvements in that regard.Another flaw should be a bit more obvious, which is that the USB wireless connector is only accessible by opening up the battery case. On the plus side, the wireless connector is safe there, but on the negative side, it requires more effort to get it out. While I'm on the topic, the wireless connector has plugins for both USB and USB-C ports, which is a plus.Lastly, the fact that this does not have a rechargeable battery is a very slight minus in my regard, but not a dealbreaker. These clickers use so little power that a pair of AAA batteries will likely last a long time in this.Overall, I'd probably give this clicker 4.5 stars out of 5, which I round up for purposes of this review. This is an all-around solid product at a very reasonable retail price.
