WOWZA! This pet brush is excellent. Our dogs have long fur and get matted. This device smoothly removed the mats. It went through the small knots easily and I took my time any larger mats. Game changer.

I have never seen a dog hairbrush like this one and mostly what suede me to order it was the speed of shipping because my dog was in desperate need of a brush and his amazing brush has gone missing. I am completely shocked and delighted with how well this works and how much he loves it. I can easily sit on the floor and brush him for over an hour and he is in heaven. It gets out so much fur! My dog is a mixed breed with some great Pyrenees and Saint Bernard and him so he is a huge shutter with a massive undercoat and this brush did such an amazing job. Absolutely highly recommend.

This comb pulls hair from both short-haired and long-haired cats that didn't seem to even exist. It works so well that one of my cats who usually hates to be groomed has started to look forward to being brushed out. I'm thinking this brush must cause him less discomfort. He has long hair and is prone to getting mats in his underarm areas. I love that this comb reduces my discomfort, as well, since it's so easy for me to use. The wooden handle is well-made without any splinters. The best part is that I no longer need to feel guilty that I'm hurting my cats while brushing them out.

One of my German shepherds sheds a ridiculous amount and can start to get mats around his rear. This brush has been amazing! It works out knots well, but my dog doesn’t squirm away, so I know not hurting him. The rounded ends are great too, because I feel I can push all the way down to his skin without having to worry that I will poke or scrape his skin with the bristles.

Awesome pet grooming tool! It is heavy with steel blades and a wooden handle. It is for dogs but I used it on our cats and they loved it. It actually picked up a ton of hair and the cats coats were softer afterwards. This is a very high quality product that animals love. It is well worth the price.

I liked the handle of this brush, but Happy did not like either side of its business end. “Happy” is an Anatolian Shepherd mix and his (double)coat is medium-lengh, so perhaps it would be different for a longer haired dog. But he sheds A LOT, and even a good, daily brushing will not keep our home from looking like a snow globe.Exactly how do I know Happy doesn’t approve of his new brush? He told me, in no uncertain terms, by (gently) grabbing the wrist of my hand holding the brush while looking up at me. He did this on two separate days. (On the second day, I actually thought I heard him grumble something to the effect of, “I thought we went through this yesterday.”)Happy has never resisted daily brushings with his slicker/wire brush; in fact, he seems to look forward to them, even stretching out to make sure I don’t miss anything. But as the product description claims, this brush is easier to clean than a wire brush. However, imho it is not “ideal for long-haired and short-haired breeds alike.” It does appear to be stainless, well made, and reasonably priced, though, and I did like the handle....

This thing does exactly what it was designed for.I have 3 Golden Retrievers. And they are major shedders.And, they also tend to get tangles and knots. One of them in particular, gets a lot of knots.Rather than just cutting out the knots with a pair of scissors, I'd much rather use a detangler such as this.Just used this on the one dog that gets more tangles than the others, and WOW, this works Great!We have a "pet vacuum" which works great, as it combs (has electric clippers attachment as well), and although the vac works really well, it don't detangle the knots, so again, we have to cut them out.Now, rather than cutting out knots, and sometimes leaving little bare spots, I can use this detangler, cut through the knot, removing some of the fur but leaving behind far more fur than just using scissors. Love this thing. Well worth the price!

I have a decent sized long haired cat that has gotten clumps of hair matter underneath him. So far I have been able to use this to get the looser long hairs on his top and sides off which is great, but when it gets to the matted balls he is not going to let me really spend enough time there to maneuver this things correctly to cut through them. I think it is generally just too big for a cat. Possibly if it was 1/2 or even 3/4 the width it is… not sure. It is working good as a regular brush just not for the main reason I got it to get the matted hairballs.
