This fits NPT snug. I was afraid I would need a lot of Teflon tape but it turned out I didn't need any. Quality of the valve is excellent.

put valve on and tried to install on two different drums, and it will not turn into the threads. shipped fast, looked good, but short of hammering on it i cant get it in .

If you have ever had a garden then you know rainwater is best to hydrate your crops, not to mention its free. Filling up 20-plus empty milk jugs with rainwater caught in a metal tub from runoff was not only time-consuming but also exhausting.When I saw this barrel faucet, I knew it was time to work smarter, not harder. I bought a 55 gal drum to catch the runoff, installed this faucet in the fine thread opening, not the coarse opening, wrapped it with the included Teflon tape, and attached the O-ring to prevent leaks. Water flows fast if the handle is pushed to the fully opened position, but you can adjust it to your preference of flow. I have not experienced any leaks and my garden looks great because I have more time to deweed it now.This brass faucet is made of quality steel to prevent rust due to weather and moisture and this is exposed to it all year round.

Easy to install. Handle is big making it easier to maneuver. My hands appreciate that. There was a little leak but after 15mins we figured it out. Make sure the o-ring isn't twisted.

Have a rain barrel that I wanted a faucet on and this was perfect for this. Easy install, fits snug, valve works with no problems. Overall, great value, good quality brass. Like the adjustable flow, and this is going to be perfect for the garden! Yes, definitely recommend to others, good quality product and a great price.
