  • To reduce yellowing while maintaining a natural look, try Natural White or Natural Mist. Natural White has a slight white pigment that settles into the grain for a more toned effect.

This stuff is a direct substitute for rubio monocoat. Im sure its the same formula. Its got the same consistency and even smells exactly like rubio(tested side by side). For DIY type finishes this stuff is great. I have to reserve 5 stars for professional quality finishes from renner. This stuff isnt in the same category as renner 718 nor should anyone expect it to be

Easy to apply, easy instructions to follow throughout. The soft white hasn’t taken the natural colour away from the oak, just given a very subtle white washed finish. Has sealed and protected as it should. Would recommend

Applied over a tung oil finish. Looks great and easy to use. Beware that the low/no VOC labeling does NOT apply to the hardener--that stuff should be handled with the same respect as any other hardwax oil hardener (they are ALL harmful to breathe regardless of brand).

Now my go to monocoat for my woodwork items as slightly cheaper than Rubio. It’s a two part which helps it to cure pretty quickly. I buy enough each time for what I need as it does tend to skin over in the tin over time once it’s opened. (The other brands do this as well so not unique to this brand, I try to clean the lids to stop this.)
