the last time I tried to buy one of these, it turned out to be for ants. Like was 10x smaller than what I expected. I still keep it as a reminder of how easily consumers can be fooled. This however is the real deal. The only issue I've had is a sense that the wine takes on the smell of the chalice itself, a metallic taste. I'm sure after enough use it'll go away. Besides that, the look and feel of it is exactly what I wanted.

Durable and heavy. 7" tall and holds 280 millilitres. Pattern and color is beautiful. Well made, received it fast. Works perfectly for the Roman wine parties I'll be throwing this Summer!! Id definitely buy from Morcomart again.

This chalice arrived and the first thing I was impressed with was it weight and heft. It definitely feels like solid brass when you hold it in your hand. The size is perfect as far as height and the amount of liquid it can hold. The amount of detail around the chalice and down the stem, and even around the base, is really nicely done and looks regal. My son has decided to keep this on display in his room and use it for drinking during special occasions. I’m not sure if it can or can’t be placed in the dishwasher, but we have been handwashing it just to be safe. If you are looking for an intricate, well-made chalice I think you would be very happy with this one.

How cool is it to drink your wine not from a glass but from a chalice...I tell you it looks and is way cooler.This is a nice brass chalice; super sturdy, feels great in your hand, and has a nice medieval look to it.Says it's Game of Thrones inspired...so the best tv show ever made now you can have its chalice to enjoy your wine or drink with. This chalice so looks amazing next to my collector bottles of Game of Throne wines.

The cup is very thick and feels heavy in the hand. The color is also very nice, but there is some slight paint chipping on the bottom of the cup. If you put it there, you can't see the paint chipping. The paint has a strong atmosphere. I don't know if I can use it as a drinking glass or wine glass. I don’t know if the internal coating meets food safety standards.

This chalice is quite well done. It's made of solid metal and weighs considerably more than what I was expecting it to. Being that it is made of metal, the wide bowl at the top makes it a bit top heavy and easy to spill over if unwittingly bumped in to. That's not a problem if your only intention is to have this as a decorative piece, which it does that VERY well. It's got a strong silver color that has a good amount of luster to it. The design that wraps around the entirety of the chalice is really intricate and well done. That's all to say that it looks GREAT. However, it quickly becomes clear that this is first and foremost a decorative piece more than it is a functional one, which I am a bit bummed about. Holding it is not as pleasant as I would have liked, because I find the neck to be too short, so I have to hold it by the bottom of the bowl like an uncivilized barbarian. The other thing that I'm not too thrilled about is that the intricate design goes all the way to the top, even where my lips are supposed to make contact with the sipping part. This, as you might imagine, is uncomfortable and does nothing for the pleasure of my drinking experience. On the contrary, it feels like I'm cheese-gratering my lips on the edge of the sipping part. One last thing that I want to mention on the negatives is the finish of the "silver" plating. The inside of the bowl has obvious smudges and smears that were caused during the production process, and they are quite bad looking. I could ignore that if I bought it merely for it to sit on a shelf or something, but I got this so that I could drink out of it. Every time I go to pour something in, I see an unsightly smudge that can't be washed off, and I see it again when I pour the drink down my hatch. If it weren't for the poor finish, and the cheese-grater lip, this would be a 10/10. As I received it, it's a 7.5/10.
