Not very happy today, my $400 card that wasnt even half full has died. It started when I could no longer read the card directly from my camera so I purchased a SD card reader especially for it. I noticed even when the computer was in sleep mode the reader was getting super hot... to the point where the computer no longer recognized it... and now the camera no longer recognizes it either.... lost a lot of good work .

I am a professional Photographer and I got this to use in my second card slot. I was really pleased with the price compared to other brands. However after using it one time, when I formatted it to erase all the photos my camera started acting funny. The camera wouldn't display any images on the back, and wouldn't even show the menu, all that proved it wasn't dead was the light on top. I took it into my local camera repair shop and they fixed it instantly by removing the memory card and putting in a different one. They tried to read the card and told me that it was corrupt and the files had been lost. Luckily I had my original SD card with the files I needed so it wasn't a big deal. But I definately do not recommend if you want your files to be safe. I returned the card back no problem.

I bought this specifically because it works with my R5 and I can record up to 8k. For photographs there's plenty of room on this card for a days worth of shooting and then some...especially shooting raw and jpg. For 4k video it seems like I've got endless room. Write and read speeds are quick and help make review and download of content (for editing) much better. There's value for the money here and to date it's worked flawlessly!

I was initially hesitant switch over from an XQD 256GB to this CF Express Type B but not any more. A thousand photos in and not a single issue. It is fast! I did upgrade the firmware in the Nikon D850 prior to installing. No issues formatting in camera either so if you are on the fence I suggest switching over from the XQD to the CF type B and expect you will be similarly happy with the outcome. One of the first things I did was high speed continuous frames to see how I could push the card (in prep for an upcoming air show) and slowed down after about 50 frames (full raw once internal buffer filled) and was happy to see the card caught up fairly fast.
