It's weird but it worked on some apps but not all like Disney +I don't have cable but I have YouTube TV. It worked there and I didn't notice any delay in sound. Unfortunately I had to return it since it didn't work on all apps. I don't want the hassle of unplugging/plugging it each time I switch apps for viewing.

I relocated my television to another wall away from my stereo components and needed a way to still enjoy my built in surround sound ceiling speakers. These little units come with EVERYTHING you'll need. I used the optical cables from my TV and to my Yamaha receiver, but I'll likely change to coax due to the higher bandwidth. I plugged each unit in and they paired automatically in about 2 seconds. It transmitted perfect stereo sound with no latency, or sound degradation. These performed flawlessly! They are built well with an aluminum case and a single indicator light. The power button is aluminum and it has a solidly built and adjustable antenna. My transmission distance is only about 12-15 feet, but I didn't have to buy and pull cables through the ceiling and walls. It requires you to set your TV to PCM digital output, so I know I don't get actual surround sound, but I still enjoy a greater sound experience through my stereo. There are HDMI transmitters, but they cost much more. For a living room these are great. Spend more if you want a true theater experience.

I switched TV service from Spectrum cable to DirectTV via internet. The HDMI cable I ran from Den thru my attic to my TV mounted on wall in kitchen no longer passed audio. This device solved the problem by using the Optical output not being used on the Den TV to the Optical input on the sound bar under the TV in the kitchen….WIRELESS ! So, I don’t have to buy new TVs yet for the Den or the Kitchen. Well worth the money it costs!

This was my final attempt after trying 2 other transmitters. I needed an optical transmitter and this worked great out of the box. synced right up and very little lag. Sound quality is good transmitting to my Yamaha receiver. I had new construction and ran all my lines prior to realizing I forgot the optical cable to my cabinet in the garage. I was leary about getting a wireless transmitter but had little options without tearing walls apart with spray in insulation. As mentioned tried two other ones prior and were horrible. Have been using this unit for a few days now with no issues. Would recommend.

I had the opportunity to test this in a historic cinema theater that we are retrofitting for a multi-use building. We needed to connect a sound source from the stage to the projector booth that was approx 80ft away and this performed flawlessly with no perceived latency or drop in sound quality. I can only comment on line of sight, but I was extremely impressed with the performance. Also I didn't experience any interference with the 2.4ghz wi-fi router that was positioned a few feet away from the receiver in the booth. Highly recommended.

Rather than route 30 feet of optical cable around the room from my home theater PC (HTPC) to my digital to analog converter (DAC), I opted to try this wireless optical/coaxial receiver/transmitter set. The set transmits stereo PCM signals, so the output device needs to be set for 2 channel PCM output; 5.1 surround sound is not supported, and neither is SACD (Super Audio CD). I used a DVD-audio/SACD player as well as JRiver Media Center from the HTPC as audio sources, and a Benchmark DAC2 HGC as the digital to analog converter. The Benchmark DAC2 displays the bit depth and sample rate it is receiving, and I compared the bit rate and sample rates from the sources to those the wireless receiver fed into the DAC.The set comes with a pair of optical cables, a pair of 1/8" stereo to RCA cables, and a pair of 1/8" stereo to 1/8" stereo cables. It does not come with digital coax cables, but these can be obtained inexpensively if needed. The set also includes two USB-C to USB-A cables and two USB-A power supplies. A user manual and troubleshooting manual are included. The manual states that the frequency used is 2.4GHz, and so should not be used close to a wireless router since it may interfere. The troubleshooting guide states that walls can interfere with the signal transmission of the audio signal.Upon turning the transmitter on, its LED flashed blue and red. Upon turning on the receiver, both turned blue after about four seconds, indicating that they had paired successfully.Using the optical and coax connectors, the sound quality through my DAC was excellent. I was unable to hear a difference between using this device and connecting directly to the home theater PC or DVD-audio player. There were two issues with these devices, however, that keep it from getting 5 stars:1) Via the analog audio output, there was audible background noise.2) The transmitter converted all digital signals to 24bit/44.1kHz, whether a CD quality (16bit/44.1kHz) or DVD-audio quality (24bit/96kHz) piece was being played. More attuned ears than mine might hear a difference. I could not.I'd recommend this as an alternative to anyone who needs to transmit a stereo audio signal across the room via optical or coax cabling, with the caution that, if all samples of this item are like mine, the bit depth and sample rate will be changed to 24bit/44.1kHz.

Update*****Was returned because I needed 2 transmitters and 1 receiver instead. They're still working without any problems. Great product!Like the simplicity of the Bluetooth connection, the sound, no cracking at high volume. I don't know how long it's going to last, but I like it.
