The items arrived broken up, the glue was open and had splattered all over everything making it useless.Imagine getting fine brushes and golden glitter boxes covered in a thick layer of half-dry superglue

I was looking forward to this to repair two items of sentimental value. When I opened it the epoxy had leaked and everything was stuck together. The smell is pretty bad as well. The epoxy isn’t packaged well with no end cap over the two sides to keep it from leaking. The one on the bottom where it is supposed to come out works great. The gold color is great and easy directions. You do however need to work fast as it sets quickly.

The product instructions were confusing. The product had epoxy puddy but the instructions didn’t mention it anywhere. The instructions mentioned to mix the adhesive with some powder. The only powder was the gold coloring. I followed the instructions as best as I could make out. The adhesive did not work. I’m very disappointed because i had a pot that I loved and was excited to repair it in such a beautiful way but now its ruined and I had to throw it away.

I bought this to repair a wedding gift that broke and had sentimental value. It takes practice but works well so far. I’ve practiced on a few Ian’s but haven’t fixed the serving dish yet.

I have been reading everything about kintsugi and have finally decided to try my hand at the art. It has simple directions and I have a few items to restore. There is a learning curve but with practice I will improve.

I should first say that this is likely entirely user error, but if you're unsure of your abilities going in perhaps you can learn from my mistakes.I tried repairing a bowl that had been broken and had a tough time of it. Lining up all of the pieces was not too difficult, but holding them together while applying the adhesive was very difficult. maybe using tape while applying and setting the adhesive would work better. The putty was malleable, but didn't really stick very well to the bowl or hold things in place when I tried to use it. The epoxy was much easier to stick to the bowl, but I ended up leaving a lot of extra globs here and there along the edges that were more excessive than is meant to be. It is not lost on me that the entire point of kintsugi is to embrace imperfections as part of the life of the objects that are being fixed, but I made a right mess of it just the same. Some sort of applicator brush definitely would have worked better than the wooden sticks that are included.Overall, would recommend, but only if you're okay with it turning out poorly... or really well... I hope it wasn't just me, but it very probably was.

The kit has two types of epoxy, some powdered faux gold, a few sticks and a couple of cups to break and repair.... no lacquer or even crazy glue. It makes the job of gold finishing very difficult. you only have about 2 minutes to put a line segment in before it sets. there is no way to artistically finish any part because it is so thick you can't make an intricate line... Wish I purchased a different product.

I repaired my mother jar with this kit. It takes patience and method. I should have protected the surfaces with masking tape to avoid staining. It dries fast et you must prepare the steps in advance to know where you are going. The jar I repaired, while not looking very pretty, is glued solid and for a first try, I think I managed well thanks to the instructions.
