These are not painted, they are oxidized. This is great because the black doesn't come off when you tighten down the nut.

There is no way these are stainless. My pictures show some not rusted, these are real and from the roof rack company and have been there 2 months longer than the ones from this company that are rusting badly.Absolute garbage. They are already on my van, so unless I can tear everything apart, they are staying till i find something better.I should have checked them with a magnet before installing.So mad at myself for not checking, shame on me. Shame on this company for lying.

I needed to attach a horizontal 1 1/2” thick deck rail to an existing 3 1/2” vertical post with a black metal corner bracket, and black oxidized hex lag screws, but only found some in 1/4” thickness but the corner bracket slots were ideally for 5/16th thick screws, so I needed to use metal washers for more stability.These were perfect, paired with hex lag screws made of the same material by the same company. Together, they gave a finished look to my deck.Made of stainless steel material and black oxidized, they’re strong, resistant to rust and corrosion, and the black finish won’t get scratched off.
