After installing this on a running engine the engine no longer would start. It created a very low amperage spark. Installing the points it started right up again. I tried it in a second Volkswagen and it wouldn’t run. I should’ve bought a Pertronix and not tried to save a dollar because this cost me more in the long run. I suggest not purchasing this

Ready enough to install and got the car back in the road. 6 months later I have no spark. When i installed this, I also put in new plugs, wires and coil

It slapped right in and works great! I have no idea as to it's longevity, but I'll add an edit to this review if it ever gives me trouble.
