Don't buy. Fancy settings but doesn't work.

Appears to be a decent instrument for the price. Wide frequency range and good accuracy

It gave accurate reading on many parts I measured. Great value for the price.

I sometimes need to measure the impedance of speakers on 25 or 70.7 volt systems (sometimes called "constant voltage" speaker systems). It's a good practice to measure the speaker circuit prior to connecting it to the amplifier outputs. It's also a good idea to verify the power draw (wattage) of the circuit and to record it for future reference. You can buy a TOA or Tenma or some other audio impedance meter to do this. A TOA unit will probably cost you over $200, as will a good Tenma. You can get a much less expensive unit for around $90 from other manufacturers.BUT...these meters usually only test at 1 KHz. Also, a lot of the less expensive units measure only up to 2 Kohms. More expensive units might measure up to 20 Kohms. The primary on the transformer of an individual speaker is often much greater than 2 Kohms, and is often higher than 20 Kohms. So I bought one of these. It easily measures impedance up to around 42 Kohms (1/8 watt on a 70.7 volt speaker) AND it measures at five different frequencies...not just 1 KHz. As a bonus, it has lots more functions and features while costing LESS than many dedicated audio impedance meters. The unit can also record measurements (either internally or on a laptop) so I can retrieve the values when I'm doing turnover documentation. Finally, it has rechargeable batteries, which is super-nice because most audio impedance meters take six AA batteries. What's not to like? Well, the unit I got appears to be open box, but it had everything and worked fine. No instructions came with the unit, but you can download those and print them easily. The USB cable is sort of weird because the connector is recessed so far on the unit, but it is a standard USB-C. The display is a bit dim, even when set to 100%.But, overall it's a real bargain.

This is a very useful meter. I've used it to check capacitor and transformer values so far with good success. However instructions are nonexistent to useless. I just started messing with it to figure out how to make the checks I needed.I'm sure it is capable of many more checks, I just need to figure them out. Maybe I can find something on YouTube...I'd give it 5 stars if instructions were more useful. If you're a patient techie type individual then I recommend this meter. A casual user would likely get frustrated and discouraged-maybe search out some videos prior to making a decision on this one.

Charges a little slower than I expected, but takes fast and accurate measurements. Well worth the cost.
