I'm working on recabling a couple of shelving systems for my computer work, and these zip ties are great for managing cables. They're about 18 cents each in the pack of 100, wide enough to get a good grip on power or heavy storage cables, and long enough to be useful storing larger/longer extension cords or the occasional 100 foot Ethernet cable. I may not go through the whole pack on two steel shelves, but I wouldn't hesitate to get another pack if I do.
