Works great, easy install. I've seen some reviews saying it only lasted them 6-12 mos. This product isn't made to last forever. There are rubber seals inside and they eventually go bad, then replace it, it won't be the last time. I'm in a desert state and they usually last me about 2 yrs or less. Make sure you get the correct size.

Could not find this product at the pool store and was happy to find it on Amazon. Worked good for 6 months then stopped working. So now I must look around for another one that will last or buy another. Conflicted

The rubber washer came off the valve at some point in the season. Worked well for awhile.

without this my little pump for a little pond just won't prime and start pump. however this doesn't last long. my first one lasted less than a year. I have looked for other options but have found none.

After one year inner seal totally failed and nearly entered our piping. In the short time this summer our heater has already been damaged and white spa and steps were copper stained from this part failing to work properly. We moved to a variable speed pump now so hopefully this won't be a major factor (pump stays on). Our plumbing was designed for this valve so I had to drop in another without cutting out a lot of existing pipe.

Used these to keep water in suction lines and not to have to re-prime pump quite as often after long shut downs. Nice that they are clear and you can see any obstructions or debris sucked in. Easy to remove and clean with both sides union-ed. To make these work best, it helps if you have a riser coming out of them (going to the pump) of about 18" so there is some water back pressure to hold the values shut tightly. Here's how I piped them with a riser. The extra riser piping allow me to install some thermometers to monitor water temps.
