I purchased it in July 2024, and everything worked fine until recently when I received a notification from my Ring app warning me that my battery was about to be drained. Several minutes later, the battery was dead!It's 30 degrees at night, and apparently, the ONLY way to recharge is to remove the battery and charge directly via cable. I don't understand why it can't be charged while still installed, but that's a separate issue.

How can you possibly not like this item. Before, I had to change the battery in my Ring camera 3 to 4 times a year and did not use the live view very often to save the drain on the battery. With this USB power cord and power adapter, I can use the camera as much as I want and no longer need to change the battery. The adapter keeps the battery fully charged for use when the electric utility experiences a power interruption.

Simple to use, just plug in to back of camera the route cable to the plug adapter. DO NOT switch your Ring power profile to AC, keep on battery. Absolutely 100% perfect.

Set it up correctly as far as we knew, but it would not charge the batteries. Not sure what was wrong, but we decided that maybe it was defective and sent it back.

This item is such a gem the battery camera sound like a good idea but the changing of battery is no joke every two weeks. Easy to use just plug in, great functionality great cord length , durability is on point great for rain and winter use.

Bought this a while back and assumed it worked but does not provide the correct power to the device. I do not recommend and if it wasn’t past the return window I would return this garbage.

I got this for my ring cam but when I saw how nice and long the cable was, I swapped it out with the too-short cable that recently arrived with another electrical item purchase. Ideally, this cable is compatable with a host of devices. One end is the USB-A (the rectangular shape) and the other end is standard C. You probably already have a smartphone that uses the exact same cable. Did you know that you can plug the C end either way? There is no right or wrong direction the cable must face. Things just get better all the time don't they. This cable works just as it should and I love the convenience of the abundant length!
