Would not stop the gas flow. Drained my propane tanks into the atmosphere. The replacement also leaked. Do not recommend.

i bought my first one from this company via Amazon to replace a valve that had failed after 9 years. After i installed and then started the water heater it seemed ok till the water was hot and valve cycled off. i observed a small flame ( candle size) at the orfice. if valve had closed as designed ( safety ) there would not have been a flame. Blew the flame out and sprayed some leak detection solution on the orfice which bubbled up , indicating a leak by. I cycled the system several times same result. turned gas off at tank. Started a return and the company sent a new one. Inst as led with exact same result. Started another return , contacted Amazon CUSTOMER Nonservice. told them i needed to to talk to tech support for the supplier. 30 minutes or so of texting and they finally got me contact info g go ie supplier who when i reached out , directed ne back to Amazon so i gave up. Called Surburban Tech service, got oem part#, searched Amazon found the OEM part by Surburban. installed and worked perfect . Any lp gas leak is highly dangerous so i strongly advise buying from the supplier via Amazon ( Amazon was apologetic but that was extent of their support!!
